Feeling generally fine, albeit with much lower energy levels than usual. We have all been feeling a bit sorry for ourselves and far more takeaways have been left at the door than is ideal in any circumstance
It will probably sound like an excuse, but nobody has had the energy to cook proper meals and our meal plan has gone out of the window. I am going to get a rare supermarket delivery on Sunday to try and remedy this for next week.
£200 paid off a CC. Have looked elsewhere else for spare money above and beyond the usual payments, but nothing doingOn an unrelated note, I have been reading a wee bit of the preparedness thread, that place is no good for your mental health!10 -
Not an excuse Ed, if takeaways help you get through it, so be it. I didn't have covid, but did have a cold at the same time as DH was ill, and I was exhausted by the evening, so totally understand that you haven't got the energy to cook. Hope things improve soon.
Agree about the preparedness thread - I've looked before (when the world wasn't in total chaos!) and it wasn't a cheery place to be. I'd rather be unprepared than that pessmistic all the time!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I agree with madvix, no way that finding the energy to cook is possible, when both the adults are ill.
As for the preparedness thread, one side of me quite enjoys it2023: the year I get to buy a car8 -

I looked at that onceonce. Quite enough for me though. From here come conspiracy theories and paranoia. I prefer memes. Just seen a picture of Putin on a dog poo bin - "Poo-tin; dog owners, please give generously!" I will be Poo-tin bombing the Village bin after dark. Shh

We have been playing house Jenga - emptying out our landing cupboard of all kinds of crap we were never going to use again - including no fewer than three pairs of curtains that wouldn't fit any of the windows in this house! Mrs E also dragged out about 10 old bags that will never be used again and all kinds of other silly crap. I had 4 suit carriers - I've worn a suit once in the last two years - for a funeral
After empying the landing cupboard, we could then empty out the bedroom cupboard, which will allow us to put a tall chest of drawers in there for the baby when she arrives. Oh the fun we have
3 bags of rubbish disposed of, 3 bags to go to charity donation/fabric recycling and a bag of WEEE goods to get dropped off at BandQ or the tip for safe recyling once we're allowed out. I am also donating 28 cans of tuna to our local food bank - turns out I don't like it nearly as much as I thought
I have also completed the Census8 -
