Enjoy the 12p!
Covid is soo exhausting, poor MrsE.4 -
I am zonked, even after Mrs E abandoned the room about 02:00 because my snoring was supposedly so bad. I brought up some colourful yellow and brown stuff with blood when I got up, although still testing negative for Covid! Then up at 05:30 for my exercise class and another day of looking after DD. No idea what we're going to do tomorrow, Mrs E still seems pretty exhausted, has spent an hour out of bed today.£200 paid off CC and a builder got in touch to offer to provided a quote for our loft conversion (fingers x'ed).5

I've said this before on here, but now is the time to follow the rules when on an airplane. First put your own mask on. You cannot look after Mrs E & DD if you are not well. Put whatever Mrs E needs within her reach. Find something for DD to do even if it is normally forbidden for long periods at a time, then lie on the settee & chill for a couple of hours at least. And as for 5.30 exercise class - don't be silly - save it for now.

What badmemory says - do the minimum you need to do to survive.... that's what's happening here (and I can't promise another takeaway won't feature tonight, not that either of us can really be bothered with food). We don't even have a child to worry about - but it's hard work being ill and caring for more ill people! I've been doing it a week now, so take advice from someone further down the line - make life easy for yourself!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I appreciate the sentiment, but re. The exercise class, it feels like it is my sanity at the moment5

Mrs E is up from a "micro nap" (she was in bed for 3 hours by my count)
and she is reporting feeling a bit better. She is optimistic that she might be able to do low energy DD management tomorrow, but we'll see how she is in the morning. I find it difficult to square the circle that is a) being able to accept that I can't control certain things, including the health of my loved ones with b) the fact that that stoic realisation will not matter a whit to the high maintenance individuals who will now be getting late responses from me to several pieces of work!
I have tried to allow for a bit more of a chilled out evening by ordering fish and chips (Mrs E has asked for a small fish supper, definitely improvement if she's getting her appetite back) and we've pretty much got the house up and running again. DD was most unimpressed that I made her do "chores" (telling me where her clean laundry goes). I let it goes as she's not well. I managed to hang some laundry outside today, did a wee STEM kit with DD (crystal growing) and only got overheard swearing onceUnfortunately I had to pop out as Mrs E had accidentally managed to place several collection only orders for things directly before catching Covid. I'll need to start asking her to consider whether click and collect is definitely the cheapest option. For example, I probably spent about £2.50 in fuel today.
Hopefully back to work tomorrow (well, I don't really want to be there, but it needs done).

Glad to hear Mrs E is improving and that you cut yourself some slack and got a takeaway.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I have tested positive, but am unconvinced (very faint line). Am going back to bed as a bit fuzzy of head, loaded with bogies and sleep drprived, will redo in a couple of hours and then get a PCR as required5
