Learning to walk before I run

I went for a dark grey (also F&B) for base units and white for the wall units. A pleasing amount of spill and dribble can accumulate on the base units before it is noticeable (however, I then realise it all needs more than a wipe).
We have elected not to insure pup after 30+ years of cats with no insurance. We do have a vet subscription though. £16.60 which includes the routine things (annual vacc's, worm and flea tablets, monthly weigh-in while a pup and twice yearly health checks). Better for us to take the hit with our income under a bit of pressure but liquefiable money if needed.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

@Suffolk_lass, I may be wrong, but thought third party liability was a good idea for dogs - seeing as they are not ‘free spirits’ in the eyes of the law?Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

DD has the Covid, she is not best pleased! Not sure how we're going to look after her for a week
£100.05 paid off CCs. I'd be more specific if I could

Oh no poor girlie.
Last time I had a painted kitchen it was "Manor House Grey"
If I was going F&B I would choose the black/plum colour.
eta pitch black/railings (blue/black)/paean black (black/plum).6 -
That would be very dramatic Alchemilla!
I have cancelled the expensive pet insurance, think we will actually get a refund of £30 or so as well, will pay that off a CC when it turns up. I think I'm more tired than DD - poor sleep, track sprints at 08:00 in the freezing cold and then a long walk about an hour later. Must make it to bedtimePicked up a small toy for her at the supermarket, which was very well received.
Having duck legs, mashed potatoes and sprouting brocolli for dinner, will get started shortly.

I'm nothing if not dramatic.
Dinner sounds fab.6 -
Ooh - I'd have Brinjal- a deep aubergine colour - not sure if it's still in the current range but, if so, my plan is to strip our dining table legs and paint them Brinjal (they are currently a deep olive/ sage green - that was the original colour from when we bought it almost 26 years ago)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207

My kitchen is dark green - not an F&B colour. I've got an east-facing kitchen, so green works well (Dulux Cornish Clay on the walls, Rope Ladder for woodwork, and the very dark colour from the kitchen company tones in. I even reused my mum's old William Morris Willow Bough curtains for the blind!
It's worth thinking about light when you pick the colour as it affects it so much.8 -
Poor little DD, hope it exits her system swiftly.2023: the year I get to buy a car9

Yes Ed, I hope it's nice and mild and passes quickly for DD.7
