@Karmacat - that's for respraying all doors, plinths and surrounds inside and out. They remove all the doors and spray them offsite and spray the rest in situ. They are sanded, primed, sprayed and then sanded again and from all the photos we've seen, it really lifts the look of a room. Not sure about the doors, in retrospect it's just one delaminated door and a door on an integrated dishwasher door where the screws/bracket has failed and will need these replaced. As it's less than half the cost of replacing the doors, I don't think that's unreasonable. The units are pretty much structurally sound, it's just a tired looking kitchen with some unfortunate colours that needs an update. As our appliances are still fine, it's a lot cheaper than a new or refurbished kitchen. Looking at Magnet/Wren (for example), we'd spend at least £5,500-6,500 for a new kitchen from their cheapest ranges. We'd also need to have the splashbacks removed and retiled, which would add to the cost.
I'm not sure that comparing the cost of a glazier in England and kitchen repainting in Glasgow works as a concept?
£100 paid off CCs - thank you to the kind unknown who used my Chip referral link from the other day

You can't blame me for trying. Here in our 1.5 story (first floor windows at knee height on the walls or cut into the thatch for the bedrooms) we have no chance and I can but dream of a roof terrace 🤷Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

That sounds great, and environmentally very sound too
