Aside from the BBQs, not a great weekend. Too much to drink, too little sleep (DD2) and visibly on edge 😵💫
Still, must take the positives where we can. Delicious scran, an insanely large amount of laundry dried largely outside (IRO 10 loads since Friday, tumble drier on for about an hour over that time). Quiet Monday expected as most of my team is off and I don't have any current deadlines to hit. Expecting things to pick up on Tuesday.
Have been trying to be positive with my grumping, back on ISA payment a day instead of the lottery. Only aiming for 1% of my personal spends, so £3-4 daily payments so far, these will pick up a bit when May pocket money, surveys and FITs start to come in.

I have had cramp at night in my upper thigh (the worst) when I have had too much water and reduced the salts in my system, recently, after a heavy day's beekeeping. I have been having a handful of salted peanuts as a snack to redress the cramp-inducing condition.
I am probably out of salts (sorts) as the saying goes - I believe that is the origin. I know from my physiology studies (my word, nearly half a century ago!) that metabolic salts being out of balance not only causes cramps but also stimulates stress hormones (renin/aldosterone). I am resisting the advice to take a liver-salts solution, but to be honest, I probably should. If you were to consider supplements, the main groups are the electrolytes; sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium. Just to think about. This is not medical advice.

I am so confused 🤪 @South_coast is bamming me up with some delightful too much water/booze wordplay, and @Suffolk_lass seems to have taken it literally! I had too much alcohol to drink, fuelled by frustration, exhaustion at DD2's 4-year sleep regression and general "it's sunny and I'm British" behaviour…
A former colleague has contacted me. It appears that they are about to take mystery leave from my old team, making them the third person in 18 months to do so.I have offered them moral support, it's sometimes nice when it is confirmed (again) that it's not you, it's them…
Managed to run 4.5 miles on my lunch, a bit cream crackered now.

I was responding to this response to @KajiKita and @greenbee - no BBQ or alcohol comments intended. Sorry for any confusion. Too much water stimulates stress hormones affecting your mood. Personally, I attribute low mood to almost anything other than alcohol or food

Payday for both of us, £344 tucked away in various ISA pots 😊
I had a really frustrating day at work yesterday where I felt sidelined by cross-service colleagues at my level who effectively organised something over my head. It can be tough being the new guy and I particularly felt that the colleague in my service should have known better. I will talk to my boss about it when they return, a bit of a carp experience.6 -
Sorry to hear about the work frustrations … Have the colleagues just not got used to you being there yet?
Well done on the ISA top ups 😊

I'm not sure @KajiKita 🤷🏻♂️ Perhaps it's just a new set of temperaments to get used to, we can't all be as professional as each other, I suppose
