Urgh - also awake just gone 4.30 this morning and didn't get back off. DH and I are away tonight in the motorhome - feel it may be rather warm!

Another grim last night, DD2 had a bad dream, didn't seem overly upset but spent 2-5 telling us about it
The poor wee soul was melting, hair plastered to her. Tonight DD1 is getting the big fan that takes 6l of refrigerated water and ice packs, her room was 30 degrees last night! DD2 can have the column fan, her room a bit less roasting.
I did another hour of overtime this morning, up to 7 hours for the week now. Boss agreed that very slightly higher OT was ok where it wasn't stressing me out and it's nice to be able to cover holiday weeks so that I don't face a "cliff edge" in between salary statements.
£48.48 paid into my SIPP for July (I get paid in a few days) (£60.60 after tax relief with a £12 or so increase to my personal statement next April). I really hope that future me appreciates the effort, the future seems like a foreign land at times!
Did a small survey about injectable weight loss medications on Prolific, can cash out for the first time in about a month!
Poached a whole chicken for dinner - ramen with shredded chicken tonight and risotto tomorrow 👍🏻

I found it unbearably hot yesterday afternoon/evening over on the east of the country. Similar forecast for today but in fact we've had haar and thick cloud so far and it was almost chilly this morning, just had half an hour of heavy rain and the sun is finally coming out. I hope its a bit cooler over with you later and all get a sleep and sweet dreams.6

- £5.97 withdrawn from Prolific, first time in 6 weeks (what a difference a year makes)!
- £1.56 OPed
- An hour of overtime completed (8 for the week, should pay just over £300 before deductions)
- Ended up with 2.5l of lovely, gelatinous stock from the poached chicken yesterday. Could have been more but I didn't have enough jars or ziplock bags left! The trick seems to have been leaving the chicken to cool in the pot for an hour after the initial simmer. I know it's not much, but getting 3 meals of meat, enough stock for a pot of soup and 2 jugs of gravy and bones for another round of stock feels like an accomplishment. Just a shame a FR chicken of that size is c. £12 now, even in Lidl
We are all very much looking forward to our summer holiday to the Western Isles next week. The first few days of the week will be grim tho, as I'm trying to do overtime before and after work, DD1 has a swimming lesson on Tuesday and we will also need to pack, get groceries and fuel the car + check the tyres are inflated to correct pressure.
A last minute flurry of Amazon orders is picking up the slack as opposed to shop visits, which I don't like but at least it's all budgeted for. We are firm believers in trying to support the communities we visit, so one meal a day will be bought locally from the plethora of lovely food options available there, it still means taking quite a bit of food for just over a week. Then you have household goods (kitchen roll/toilet paper/tinfoil/laundry detergent etc.) The house will be fully stocked but I don't like to take the mick as it's my parent's house5 -
