Chase Cashback for National Rail Ticket?
I remember a while ago chase mentioned would only give cashback 1% for food, Groceries in the future. But looking into the newest FAQ
It seems a few item are still included to get 1% cashback, including Everyday Transport. But I am not quite sure about the definition of Everyday Transport.
Does anyone know whether Intercity National Rail ticket will still qualify to get 1% cashback ?

    Thanks

National Rail is Passenger Rail (Trains) so should do. Are you able to share the retailer?

Can't see this mentioned elsewhere so posting as an FYI to anyone thinking of closing their Chase account/s.

Like the legendary Hotel California you can never leave.
That is if you ever want to bank with them again.

If you close your account you can never go back - according the garbled -( "I'm talking to you from Mars through a tin can telephone with low battery" )- call centre person I spoke to today.

Presumably it's to stop people carpet bagging their bonus offers.
Other carpet suppliers are thankfully still available ( and with better phones ).

Chase aren't alone in this, closing your ISA with Chip means you can't take out another with them ever..

Rate chasing is all well and good, but over time people doing this could find they're fishing in a smaller and smaller pool of good rates.

    This is not quite correct.

You can close down / delete your entire Chip account, then open a new one. In the new one, you can get a new ISA, and a new anything, as well as any bonus offers that might exist. I have done it, it’s simple and quick.

Closing down your Chip account obviously means that you need to close down any products that you have with them.

You've managed it, but it is against their T&C's. So always the risk that they'll realise and either prevent a reopening, or decide to close your account for breaking their T&C's.

Just had the statement notification email. I've got 4 accounts, current account, 2nd current account for potential switching, saver and round-up. The flow on my Android phone seems to be click on statement, acrobat opens, save a copy (otherwise I can't transfer it off), then need to log in again to get to the next one etc. Is there an easier way - ideally just to download them in one go?

I think the only way to get round that is to disable "logout automatically". Mine is disabled and I can get to all statements without having to login for each one. I usually kill Chase (or any bank app) once I've finished with it anyway.

I think my account balances were zero, with no outstanding interest. Then just “Delete account” in your profile. I deleted and reinstalled the app, then applied again.
