App revamp on the way, according to the notification just received.
Interesting to see if they go down the Monzo/Starling appearance route.
I have not used Monzo or starling, but I hope chase don't mess this up. I love the app just the way it is.
It's slow. I may have an older phone, but the Chase UK app is the slowest of all my finance apps, even more so than Barclays. I hope their revamp is more optimisation than cosmetic.
It certainly is, but it seems most of that is related to the app fetching information, and it could well be a server-side issue rather than an app issue.

Today the app, for me, is completely bonkers. Earlier card transactions are showing but the balance is not reducing. Then my card was declined, despite there being sufficient money present allowing for the transactions. I shouldn't tempt fate but this is by far the least reliable bank app I've used to date.

I’ve used the in-app support chat for exactly the same kinds of issues, seems to be little they can do about it, they don’t even really acknowledge there’s an issue on their side. Worth flagging it to support though, all the same.

Not slow at all on my iOS device (not the latest model but still receiving iOS upgrades)

... received no e-mail. I would expect one if the app is changing its user interface, they send an e-mail when there's a new monthly set of statements accessible from the app. No notifications or updates ... or problems.

I did raise it with support, who gave me a case number. A few hours later several transactions came though, including one from the previous day, and my balance was indeed too low for the failed transaction. Normally my payments via Google pay are instant, never taken until the next day before.

  • New design for Android now in Play Store.

Don't expect anything too dramatic though.

The update is out on iOS store as well. Whilst there was some delay using app before (which didn't matter to me as others here) it does feel snappier now. Overall the UI improvements are good.
  • Mmmm....think I preferred it when all the accounts were on the same page

I hope it runs better for the people who had issues with speed , and updating transactions etc. Personally never had any problems with it.

Seems to run a little faster for me, I agree with others it was really quite slow. I don't think it's a radical redesign, UI wise, though.
