A really nice feature is that you can choose the PIN for your card during the application, though subsequent PIN changes still require traipsing to an ATM.
The card can be add to Curve, provided you have a little cash in Chase for Curve to make a verification debit (automatically refunded later). Deposits to NS&I get rejected, whether through Curve, or with the card directly. Not sure why. Curve "Go Back In Time", to move payments to the Chase card, seems to work fine.
Faster Payments in and out working fine, though setting up a payee with a Reference is a bit cumbersome. Major, major showstopper for regular use for me is that a payee name cannot contain numbers. My tried and tested naming convention for payees relies on numbers in the payee name. There's no nickname for payees, either, so I would have to end up with countless payees called Daliah [+my surname], as that's the account name on all my accounts. No other bank or building society has ever insisted on no numbers in the payee name.
I'll probably use the Chase account for day-to-day spending for as long as their 1% cashback lasts. Any larger purchases (holidays etc) will still go on a credit card, for Section 75 protection.0 -
Signed up early Tuesday morning .....just got my code by text and the app does not recognise it!!0

I think I will wait until they offer a proper incentive to switch to them.0

Code came dinnertime and opened within an hour. Card details already in app. Money went straight in with little delay. Seems okay so far.0

Well my experience of this outfit is somewhat mixed to what others have had. I got my code through a couple of days ago, went through the account opening and at the ID verification stage I took picure of my photo driving license and then did a selfie etc. It rejected it 5 times asking me to verify my information which I did and was 100% accurate. On the 6th attempt it seem to accept it but then got the dreaded message "we need to do some further checks, this is usually within the hour". Waited 5 hours and heard nothing so I called them up. To his credit the guy on the phone was very apologetic but assured me everything was fine and the "back office" team needed to do a few things their end but my account would be opened first thing this morning. Lunchtime came and still not heard anything so I contacted them again and a helpful guy said he would chase it up. Within 5 mins I had a text saying the ID verification was done and to check the app. Opened the app and received the message "sorry we cant open an account, thanks for your interest". No other options available. So I contacted them again and a chap said it was probably due to the photo looking slightly different on my driving license compared to the selfie. To which I said yes, I wear glasses and you cant have glasses on your driving license. I said shall I run through the ID check again and remove my glasses? He basically said no, once a decision has been made thats it, computer says no. What an absolute ridiculous system. I even checked my credit score etc to see if it was that and no I have a good score and never missed a payment in my life. Chase are totally not interested in me now which I know is their perogative, they can choose who they want to have as customers but I think they need to stop relying on computer robots and actually have a better system for these situations. FYI I have opened accounts with high street banks as well as app only banks like Starling, Monzo, Revolut etc and all of them accepted my driving license absolutely fine. Looks like Chase are being extremely picky, lets hope not another HSBC!!

I do appreciate, however, that there are still people who feel having all their eggs in the same basket, i.e. having all their accounts with the same bank, is the best solution for them. I don't have any numbers for this, but I somehow doubt this is a significant number.3 -

It took me about 5 attempts, too, to get through the ID check, and I also had "we need to do some further checks, this is usually within the hour". My account was approved within 10 minutes though. I had used my passport (no glasses) and wore glasses for the selfie.4 -
