If someone has a debit card, they usually have access to Faster Payments too...EarthBoy said:
I think Daliah meant paying their Barclaycard bill, not paying for something by Barclaycard. You can't pay your Barclaycard bill with Apple or Google Pay. And by the way you can't use Google Pay to pay by Barclaycard because Barclays don't support Google Pay, although they do support Apple Pay.[Deleted User] said:
You should be able to add the card?Daliah said:
I can't pay my Barclaycard with Apple or Google Pay. Need a card number, expiry date and CVV.Deleted_User said:Because websites now offer Google/Apple pay as an option in a lot of cases, so at the point you would normally have to enter your card details, you just select a Google or Apple pay button.1 -
What are you on about? It has nothing to do with them managing to send you a code or not, it's them not wanting to send you a code at the moment.Daliah said:
Whichever way you want to put it, they have not managed to send me a code, and I am mightily unimpressed. Which presumably they don't care about though it appears that more people are so far unimpressed than impressed with the Chase UK launch, which seemed to consist mainly of Press briefings. YMMV.Lightning360 said:
I think if they wanted to send you a code at the moment, they could. It's not about "managing to", it's about doing whatever they have planned to do for their waiting list.Daliah said:
True, and personally, I wouldn't pay for it. But the point is that Monzo does have the feature, and it appears they can even afford to charge for it.Shakin_Steve said:
That's a paid for feature, though.Daliah said:It looks as if Monzo have raised the bar on the very day Chase didn't quite manage to launch their UK current account. Great sense of humour, Monzo

Meanwhile, Chase haven't even managed to send me a code for their app.
It's not Chase's fault if you can't understand something as simple as a waiting list...1 -
The waiting list is entirely Chase's fault.Lightning360 said:

Not supported in this initial release apparently!Catplan said:I get what you are saying, but many (I know its not all) will add to Apple / Google Pay and use the card that way, so probably not a huge stumbling block. I get what you are saying as I often order via laptop going through cashback for example and I'm sure my last insurance renewal I still needed to manually enter the details on card.1 -
You not knowing what a waiting list is isn't their fault though.Daliah said:

"Fault" implies they've done something wrong, or made an error etc. The waiting list is intentional, so there's no fault about it.Daliah said:

Different product and not in anyway similar to what Chase are offering!!
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Seems a reasonable product, but nothing to write home about. One to keep in mind for using as my main account in the future but I won't be requesting a wait list code.0
