Good to know! Can someone who has Chase UK account for longer term confirm if it appears with Experian, Equifax or TransUnion?
Not sure what you mean by longer term but as I said in my previous answer, I have had a Chase current account for over 5 months and it is not being reported as a current account on my credit report on any of the three CRAs

In theory, it could launch an overdraft nexr week and start reporting to the credit reference agencies. If you cannot risk even a new account appearing, then perhaps it is better to wait until your mortgage is secured.

Why? They have not been tops since June 1. As of last week, they weren’t even in the top 15 instant access accounts. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have by now dropped out of the top 20.

Edit: just checked, they are now joint 28th 🤣.
  • I have one.

I pay a fixed sum into it each month and my direct debit for energy comes out of that account.

Builds a surplus in MY account, not theirs.

Suppose it acts a bit like an interest bearing current account.

No savings accounts with higher rates allow direct debits attached to it.

And no, I cba with a Santander 123 Lite, before anyone suggests it 😂

That's true - though you could pay your direct debits from one or more Virgin Money M Plus current accounts, where your money could have been earning 2% AER for the last two-and-a-half years.

The 123 isn't profitable for everyone - it depends on the size of the DDs (though, as we know, most people are likely to have enormous DDs in the near future). I make a net £5 a month from the DD cashback. I would need to keep a constant £4K in Chase to get that much in interest. For that amount, I now get £24 a year more at Al Rayan - and I still get my 123 cashback on top of it. Plus, I have had the 123 cashback for many years, whilst Chase savings wasn't an option before March 2022. Some people might say they don't care about the odd £80 - £100, which is fine, it's their loss, and I don't think they could be classed money saving experts 😂

True. I have those, acting as savings accounts, though that will be reviewed soon as rates are increasing.

My Gatehouse Bank easy access offers the same rate. Didn't go for Al Rayan, just yet.

Got just over £8k with them for my sinking funds, 1.5% interest and 1% back when I spend them seems a decent deal to me and its quick & easy.
