The first line reads 'We have been unable to take your monthly payment as you have cancelled your Direct Debit with us'. Given my account is in credit and is sufficient to pay the outstanding usage and that the next DD date is the 22nd Sept, I think the letter is a bit cheeky... I hope PfP weren't trying to pull in a payment early.

Oh dear. MIL will not be happy. She asked me to source another supplier and I chose PFP. I had great service from the in the past and the price was competitive. Also I went via Top cash back for her so I take it there is no chance of them paying out now.0

In response, they have applied a penalty charge of £12 to my account, which was £72 in credit (now only £60).Looks like the advice from Ofgem to "cancel your direct debit if you want to" could add more hassle for consumers. I guess I'll have to get this back from the SOLR.
My DD was due yesterday (9 September). I cancelled it the day before. Your penalty may still be still to come.

I had complaint open with PfP (faulty gas meter) and was waiting since 1st of July for recalculation of my bill. There was agreed meter reading that they were going to use to recalculate my bill. My gas bill was running like crazy and I'm £232 in debt without bill re-calculation. What will happen to this now? I don't want to pay £232 for nothing (gas not used, but charged by meter).
I moved electricity to PfP in June, on 1st of July they changed my meter to smart, that was faulty and never assigned to my account, so I never got billed for the usage and never had any bill from PfP since I joined them. Looks like, it's going to be right mess.
