please could I join mothernerd? If you'll all have me xxStudent loan £5655
House deposit €32,667K/€40k6 -
I seem to have lost the interest in actually doing anything but this morning lve decided to follow mothernerds advice and break things down into small time allocations. I can feel a list of jobs to do/finish will be my starting point as lve got so many half finished things on the go it’s getting me down. Little and often will be my September Mantra with minimal spends. xxCount down to retirement 20238

How to Develop Self-Compassion
1 Acknowledge to yourself that you're having a hard time
2 Don't beat yourself up for struggling
3 Let go of any tendencies towards perfection
4 Ask for support from those who care about you
5 Make sure you enforce healthy boundaries with others
6 Drop some commitments and give yourself more space
7 Take time to relax and to do the things you like
8 Learn how to enjoy, and benefit from, solitude
9 Essential Dave Ramsey Tips
1 Create a spending plan (Budget). Tell every penny where it is supposed to go
2 Stick to your budget. Think of your money as a way to make life better - You have a mortgage = a home and shelter
3 Protect the four walls of home Ramsey says these are Food, Utilities (light and heat), Rent/mortgage, Transportation
4 Don't go further into debt. Save an emergency fund, then throw every penny you can at your debt
5 Have an emergency fund Things will go wrong (as the month so far has already shown us)
6 Use cash Creates awareness of the money leaving your possession
7 Attack your debt Paying the minimum will get you nowhere
8 Avoid temptation Know your weaknesses (when I used to go to the SM, I would avoid whole aisles)
9 Give How ever poor you think you are, many people are worse off
(Just to show we are all about money saving - with passion, compassion, humour and style Maya Angelou)
Don't Forget to
Focus on the good (it's there)
Do something you love
Go outside
Love who you are now
Keep being braveMy mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
NSD #2 today, did not make it out berrying, but did fold all the dry laundry, washed the other laundry, it is drying on the line. The weather forecast seems good for the next few days, so might grab the duvets off the kids beds after the school run next week, and wash them and line dry - if it is going to be 26-28 degrees they will dry in no time and be ready to go back on the beds by bedtime. Might be one of the the last chances we get before darkness descends. Prepping for winter on the sunniest days! - I already have melted and made new candles ready for darker nights. House cleaned, have a massive pile of tupperware and lids to reconcile. The kids are loving the stewed apples and the baked apples. Food for free.Going to go back to working in cash for the next few weeks, just to make sure that I am keeping a tight enough hold on the budget. Also have let late night ys shopping slide lately - will go back to aisle lurking after Monday night volunteering session. The freezer will thank me for it. Had mushrooms on toast for lunch and it was really nice.I have a list written, and know what I have to do. I just need to get on with it and stop pro-caffeinating (drinking coffee and pondering stuff).gratitudes: stuffed apples, having a plan, feeling it is time to do things.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening turtles, spend day from savings today as bought a couple of soap dispensers online and a freestanding toilet roll holder. Would you believe we've lived here for 6 years and still have no toilet roll holder?! I started laying vinyl bathroom tiles before my back procedure so thought I'd use the down time to order some final bits to finish the bathroom.
Today has been nice, took it pretty easy (by necessity), got a load of washing done this morning, then OH and I drove down to watch some local showjumping for an hour as the weather was nice, and have then just been watching TV, just had my bath and about to do an early dinner. Nothing fancy, just some frozen Japanese stuff, still not up to standing up for ages cooking. Managed a small bit of paper decluttering and tidying too.7 -

Had a lovely relaxing day today. Sat in the garden for an hour or so to eat lunch and catch up with Mum on the phone then sat on the sofa with the dogs watching a film. This evening was my regular phone call with Dad to catch up.Gratitudes today lovely sunny day allowing for all the doors and windows to be opened. Great conversations with both Mum and Dad. Selling 2 items on the Bay of E. Quick question, do I lose a NSD when I pay the postage if the buyers have paid me for the postage? That money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"8

Would not think that would spoil your NSD, as really you are using the money they have already given you for that purpose, so it would be set aside already.
