So i tried to use halifax and bos and lloyds cards for for contactless for 60 pound at asda. Tried it three weeks in a row and declined each time

My settings are automatically 100 contactless limit so i am not sure why its not working

    how is everyone else doing

We had £47 go though ok in Aldi on our Tesco cc.   (It was £45 limit before, wasn't it?). This was on the 16th, so had only just changed.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

I have read online that not all terminals can take £100 contactless either so that could be an issue. Terminals = where you pay the contactless. So it could be an issue with terminals being updated too

I don't see why all supermarkets haven't updated their terminals. Aldi had a notice by the tills straight away saying the contactless £100 limit was available.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

The limit was only increased to £100 on 15th October so that's probably the reason why it didn't work on the first week, or possibly two.

Tried to pay contactlessly for a tank of fuel at £60ish on 21/10 in Sainsbury's but told they had not updated the limit yet on their card machines.

I suppose it is a case that some retailers are more prepared than others, and also perhaps the infrastructure on Aldi's tills is easier to update than at Sainsbury's.

I also recall them being very slow to update to contactless anyway, everywhere was accepting it and people were still bashing their PIN in like it was 2004 at Sainsbury's for quite some time.

Ahhh so it seems like this is the common theme. Terminals not being updated

    Shall we make a list

So far we have Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury
