Have you tried to delete and re-add the app? This somewhat drastic action often cures problems with apps.2 -
Re Lloyds Bank. I have just tried SIX times to get some sense out of Lloyds as all I want to do is reduce the new £100 limit for contactless, back down to the original £30.None of their staff seem to have any idea about this and when I asked in exasperation that surely, knowing the new limit is going live today, all customer service staff have been trained/briefed how to help customers with this, I was told 'NO' they haven't been. Really? In the end, during my sixth call I found out that you have to be using the App for them to be able to talk you through it. If like me, you use online banking, NOT the app, you couldn't change the limit. What a load of boloney. Are British banks so inept they put out the message on their website, as Lloyds has, that this change can be effected online, via the App or by phone; but they can't actually do so?What on earth is going on?0

Nothing in the Lloyds app. either. "Card management" or "manage card".
The Option then appears under Card Management -> Card Freezes (Might have to scroll down a bit).
It appears only to apply to debit cards, the Credit card doesn't have the option2 -

"The Option then appears under Card Management -> Card Freezes (Might have to scroll down a bit)."Yes, there it is. What a strange, illogical function title!0

Interesting that Lloyds told me you have to speak to an adviser to make this change, you cannot do it yourself!!

We’ve had similar issues. Customer services said we can’t change the limit via the on-line account but that they may look to do this in future.
They also said we hadn’t passed security at a high enough level to make the change over the phone. The ‘high enough level’ is either calling them via their mobile app (i.e. not directly from a mobile or landline) or having registered for voice recognition.
If we won't do either of these, the only options open to us are to use the app (our phone doesn’t do apps) or go into a branch and take photo ID and proof of address.
On the news bit of the MSE’s site, it says Lloyds lets you change the contactless limit via app, on-line (you must be registered for on-line banking) or phone. This seems to be wrong as things stand.

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/lifestyle/money/100-contactless-payment-pros-cons-24894358
The finance expert says "there are protections in place in the form of a five transaction limit- meaning after five taps you will have to use your pin".
I have never had to do this in the past. The article isn't clear whether this is a measure already in place, or one being introduced with the new limit. Does anyone here know ?
Edit .. I should have looked at Google before posting. It seems to be a measure already in place, but one that has never applied to my cards !
I have just had confirmation back from the card provider that I need to do a chip-n-pin transaction before the contactless will be re-enabled to accept the feature back with the £100 transaction limit.
Thereafter, the card will require a chip-n-pin transaction following every £300-worth of contactless transactions to re-enable again. That seems sensible, but I wish they'd notified the criteria in advance.0 -
So i tried to use halifax and bos and lloyds cards for for contactless for 60 pound at asda. Tried it three weeks in a row and declined each time
My settings are automatically 100 contactless limit so i am not sure why its not working
how is everyone else doing0
