  • The solicitors have replied to my without prejudice offer. It took them a month to get back to me.

They rejected my offer. (£120) Their costs £70 plus legal feed £50.

Then they countered with a figure higher then mine (£180) but lower then what they are claiming in court. (£260)

The case has now been transferred to my local county court.

I now have to decide if I accept or reject their offer and make another counter.

I have 14 days to deicide.

    Thoughts?

The point is that you will have a very high success rate of the judge not allowing the fake add-on that DCBL applies.   It means that the outcome could cost £200 if it ends up in court.

Court also means that DCBL could lose everything and cost the PPC money as we have seen recently with their  client VCS ....
Going to court is a great experience especially with a good defence and spankings are a pleasure to watch.

The underlying question for you is WHY have they agreed to £180 ??  Maybe they realise they will not win ?

  • Thank you for your feedback. I will make a counter offer shortly.
  • Morning.
Counter offer was rejected. They are sticking to their initial offer.
They still want £30 more then what I offered.
Taking into consideration all the comments on this thread and private messages I have received, it looks unlikely that I will win.
I am going to settle and just put this all behind me, I enough going on in my life without this hanging over me.
Thank you for your time and patience with me and for contributing towards this thread.
