Haven't spent on food again, so closing this week on spending £5.50/£15. This is mainly down to being poorly and not wanting to be very far from a loo!!
Tomorrow is the start of a new week so I will post on October thread from tomorrow and I'm feeling a lot better now, so I will definitely be spending.

Hello all, just a quick check in. I just tallied up my card transactions and it looks like we’re at £299.03 / £400.00 for the month. That seems really low to me and I’ll check the joint credit card for any other transactions. That said, we did eat out more than usual this month.ETA: I just checked the joint CC and found another £162.58 on there. So our total for September is actually £461.61 / £400.00.1

Congratulations @jozbo! Well done!
@K9sandFelines - have you changed employer? When I did - and got swapped to weekly pay - the way I coped was to pretend to pay myself monthly. I put each week’s pay into a savings account and, on the last day of the month, transferred it back to my regular bank account. (If you haven’t changed job, it’s very unusual for a company to go from monthly salaries to fortnightly. I’d be worrying about their cash flow.)I’m declaring at £126.10/£146.90.
No big surprise there since we were away for a week, mid month. Before we left, I cooked up as much as I could and froze everything that was freezable.
Our last spend for September was at the C0-0p on Tuesday, £6.79 spent on 2 large packs of tortilla chips, salsa, hummus and guacamole. Back in August, DH picked up some YS chicken mince. On Tuesday, I made the “loaded chicken nachos” recipe from the packaging. (Fry the mince (500g). Preheat the oven to 180c. In a baking dish, layer tortilla chips, the mince and 250g grated cheddar. Bake for 10 minutes or until all the cheese is melted. Serve with salsa and guacamole.). It was.... OK, but expensive and not that healthy....Lazy cooking.... You definitely need strongly flavoured tortilla chips.
