Struggling with ws, 11 days to deadline

I've just completed the dq, does it need to be posted? I recall reading somewhere that it can be emailed but I can't see the details anywhere on the letter.
Deadline is 2nd September.
Also do I need to send it to the claimant?
Where can I find their details?0 -
Also It says the hearing could take place at the claimants preferred court, so what happens if I am unable to travel there?
It could be far and costly which in effect wouldn't be worth travelling.
Thank you
Your help will be highly appreciated1 -
Le_Kirk said:You are stuck with the defence you filed unless you want to pay even more (£100 or more) to change your defence. Given your financial situation, I doubt you would want to do that. You need to complete the DQ (help is available on how to do this by following this link: -

Once you have completed and sent the DQ to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk (unless you have been given a different e-mail address in the paperwork that sent the DQ), you need to search for a witness statement (WS) written by @jrhys as this is the one that most people are using now as an EXAMPLE and a GUIDE. Do NOT just blindly copy it. Do not miss the DQ deadline. Then wait for notice of allocation to small claims court and the actual court and date of hearing. On that letter it will tell you when to send your WS.
You have mentioned emailing the form to the County court.
Do I just take pictures of the completed form and email to the address you have mentioned.
I don't see any mention of email on the paperwork, only gives an address to post back to them.0 -
I know you didn't use the template Defence, but you now need to look at the first post in the template Defence thread for the guidance you are seeking. The thread you are looking for is one of the first five threads on the thread list.
Look at the items on the numbered list in that post.
Items 6 onwards on that list will answer all your current questions.
If you are an individual rather than a company, any hearing will be at your nominated court - or more likely at the moment - by telephone.2 -

Hi,
I have read and searched loads but can't seem to find the answer to my question.
How can I send the dq by email?
Take pictures of the completed form and send as an attachment?
And also how I send this questionnaire to the claimant. It doesn't mention anything in the paperwork I received about sending it to the claimant.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you very much.0 -

As I said, one of the first five threads on the tread index list contains the template defence - I know you didn't use that template.
Find that thread - it has the words template and defence in the thread title - and read the first post on that thread.
Now... look at the list in that post and read from item 6 on that list.
I really don't understand why you can't find that stuff, but to save you more trouble here is the relevant part of that list...You'll need to look at earlier items on that list for the CCBC's email address.

KeithP- thank you very much for your help.
I'm not sure if I can do this, I don't know how I will produce a ws when the time comes.
What if I call qdr and ask them if we could negotiate on a lower amount to settle the case?
Is it wise to do this?0 -
The instruction to serve (send to) the claimant is on the N149A (see link here https://www.moneyclaimsuk.co.uk/PDFForms/N149A.pdf)
When you ask about sending the form by email, are you asking for technical help of parking forum help? @KeithP has provided the method of sending it to the CCBC and you should have an e-mail address for the claimant (if not, you will have to post it) but technically just either scan it, if you have a scanner, take a photo on a smart phone and attach either the scan or a photo to an e-mail. You can also download a form (instructions provided above in @KeithP's post) and complete this on your PC, save and attach to an e-mail.

Stick with the process.
Writing a Witness Statement and gathering evidence is explained in great detail in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.2
