Great news you’re listening to your body more and making time to relax and sleep - very important. On the teenager front 😩 money is king.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Hello
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm plodding on but as busy as I always am and fretting a bit about work and Christmas and probably feeling a bit pre-menstrual as well.
I can't believe that Christmas is 3 weeks today, and that I still have 3 weeks of work left to get through. In what world, ever does a school go up until 23rd of December? Mine this year.
Also still recovering from an unprecedented 2 nights out in a week. Had my department night out last Sunday then the whole school night was on Friday. My work-daughter's girlfriend is a manager at a bar in town and so we had the department do there, and started there on Friday night. Bottomless brunch, followed by shots and too many cocktails, and a 2 day hangover after Sunday. Thankfully, just the one day yesterday and I'm just about fully functioning again today - just really dreading the next 3 weeks at work as I'm tired, it's dark and miserable and the weather is due to get colder and wetter this week. Don't like the dark winter mornings scraping ice off the car.
Tree is up, much to the interest of the cats. The newest cats haven't seen Christmas yet as they're not a year old. I don't fancy its chances of remaining upright if I'm honest, so I haven't put any of my favourite glass baubles on there this year. Presents are bought but not wrapped, and I may have to ask dd to do the majority of wrapping for me (except her own stuff obviously). I also desperately need to get finished with a jumper I've knitted for my mam. Her hands aren't working well any more so I've had a go at knitting a jumper she started but couldn't finish. It is knitted but I still have ends to sew in and it needs to be sewn together as well. Millions of ends as it's a stripy jumper. Still nothing for the teenage boys in my life so looks as though it'll be money and chocolate as suggested by you lovely lot.

Lovely to hear from you @crazy_cat_lady! Any chance of pics of the cats being interested in the tree? Breaking up on 23rd Dec is frankly ludicrous!! It's the week before Christmas you need off, not least to wrap pressies. Got our decs down today but no tree yet. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx8

Lovely to hear from you. I am glad you were able to enjoy your nights out early on rather than see them as an inconvenience if you felt you were too busy as it gets closer to Christmas (I speak from experience) . You deserved to be able to have a good time. Hope that you are intending to take the holiday time for you and your family when it eventually gets here xx6

Are the students in any mood too learn anytghing when school doesnt break up until the 23rd? I wouldnt have thought so. Do you get a bit longer off after Christmas? Having worked in a sector that works 24/7 the thought of fininishing a few days before or even having a few days holiday prior to Christmas was always appealing but I never got the chance.
