A big haribo shop just opened in Scotland.
Seriously??! OMG … just watch LWAP fly up there on the power of thought alone … 😉

You both know me so well! A giant Haribo shop! ‘Sweet Dreams are made of these ‘ Eurythmics (a Scottish band) comes to mind

I have friends in Glasgow who I was planning to visit soon - lovely city - now made lovelier ..

I’m also coeliac and struggle with lactose - if I’m going to eat cheese / chocolate I pop a lactase tablet and I’m normally ok.
Is there a brand you recommend ? I may try it

Autumn definitely a time for all the pressure cookers/slow cookers to come out! Clearly date's hand to hand contact did NOT work on you though  :D
There is something so comforting about PC - I have a SC function on my 6 in 1 pc - so I actually got rid of my actual SC - I rarely use it - why best recipe suggestions ?

Date 2025 2.0 - longest coffee of my life - he started banging on about his ex wife .. far too many intimate details & attributed the cause of her leaving him by her being the then only married (as opposed to rest being divorced) joining a ‘st*tching & B*tch*ing club - where the women did some knitting (?!?) -  I don’t jest - and it was then a sudden shock when she wanted a divorce  - when I delved further he  said he didn’t like arguing so when she yelled he just walked away - I politely suggested they found ways to communicate better -
he then when we parted suggested he could be the food critic to some of my home cooked food next time !!
    Dear Lord ..

2 dates in and I may be giving up already - I

I believe "Stitch and b*tch" used to be known as "Knit and natter" - though I think I prefer the more modern take 🤣!

Date 2 put me in mind of a very dear friend.  First date:  she consumed wine which she blamed for her final comment of the evening before walking off to get the taxi.   Date complained in a similar style to yours but it turned out ex wife had attempted to drive her car into him leaving him with a limp,  Friend fuelled by the wine said "if it that were me, trust me, I'd have made a better job of it", suggested he get counselling not dating and left.

Do have a date 3 ... your readers want enjoy the tales :)
!!!!  I love your friend - I should have been more direct - of course I heard from him today - never ever gonna see him again though..
Date 1.0 (large hands) also been in touch

Potential Date 2025 3.0 (only doing this for Watty) I am planning a video chat before meeting anyone ever again

Yes it requires next level inner strength - not dated in a year and worked hard all summer ... honestly I have more fun out with my friends...

London is cold super windy and damp .. got the heated throw on ..
Slept for 10 hours last night - still recovering I think ...

These are the ones I’ve been using.  Not doing my diet much good though as suddenly can eat cheese and chocolate! I have the lactose free milk (Lidl and Aldi both do it) so I can’t have my drinks without taking a tablet. I’ve a little pill holder attached to my house keys so always have them on me.

Goodness me. This is all making me very glad I never did 'dating' as such, certainly not online dating. Met my first boyfriend through a university society, second through voluntary work, third lived nearby and knew people I knew, and then was the present Mr Cheery, who I met through a friend at a social occasion. Fortunately I got all of that out of the way in my early 20s. I'm not sure I would have managed the delights/horrors of online dating, and might have just committed to being single forever.

Oddly enough, Mr Cheery himself had just started internet dating when we met (20 years ago) He went on one date, which generated a story to rival one of yours  and then we got together, so that was the end of it. He never actually took his profile off the dating site though, and several years later he was matched with someone we both knew, and who was absolutely NOT his type at all :lol: Lots of amusement all round (I made sure he cancelled his subscription at that point though!!)
