Clearly date's hand to hand contact did NOT work on you thoughDate 2025 2.0 - longest coffee of my life - he started banging on about his ex wife .. far too many intimate details & attributed the cause of her leaving him by her being the then only married (as opposed to rest being divorced) joining a ‘st*tching & B*tch*ing club - where the women did some knitting (?!?) - I don’t jest - and it was then a sudden shock when she wanted a divorce - when I delved further he said he didn’t like arguing so when she yelled he just walked away - I politely suggested they found ways to communicate better -
he then when we parted suggested he could be the food critic to some of my home cooked food next time !!Dear Lord ..
2 dates in and I may be giving up already - IDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... Date 2 put me in mind of a very dear friend. First date: she consumed wine which she blamed for her final comment of the evening before walking off to get the taxi. Date complained in a similar style to yours but it turned out ex wife had attempted to drive her car into him leaving him with a limp, Friend fuelled by the wine said "if it that were me, trust me, I'd have made a better job of it", suggested he get counselling not dating and left.

These are the ones I’ve been using. Not doing my diet much good though as suddenly can eat cheese and chocolate! I have the lactose free milk (Lidl and Aldi both do it) so I can’t have my drinks without taking a tablet. I’ve a little pill holder attached to my house keys so always have them on me.Sealed pot challenge 822

Goodness me. This is all making me very glad I never did 'dating' as such, certainly not online dating. Met my first boyfriend through a university society, second through voluntary work, third lived nearby and knew people I knew, and then was the present Mr Cheery, who I met through a friend at a social occasion. Fortunately I got all of that out of the way in my early 20s. I'm not sure I would have managed the delights/horrors of online dating, and might have just committed to being single forever.
Oddly enough, Mr Cheery himself had just started internet dating when we met (20 years ago) He went on one date, which generated a story to rival one of yoursand then we got together, so that was the end of it. He never actually took his profile off the dating site though, and several years later he was matched with someone we both knew, and who was absolutely NOT his type at all
Lots of amusement all round (I made sure he cancelled his subscription at that point though!!)
