No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@dawnybabes 6 from 25 is fabulous. I'm still working on mine to get back to where I would like to be but love the success stories like yours.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Well done all on the visceral fat fight all
Its such a life-changing re-frame for me and got me focused forward, its not about looks, not about being slim but about health, especially the health of your organs, preventing your organs from being strangled (!) as I heard it described - which may stay with me forever.. I am 4kg down from 3.5 weeks ago and I am eating well. I was craving extra food yesterday (I had been training) so I happily fed myself.. This is about loving my body and listening to it, whilst also shedding the excess pounds.
Got a fun eve out Thursday with friends (free drinks as pr thing), doing a bit of consulting Friday morning then getting a free fabulous lunch (taking a friend) as part the deal, and Saturday is the won festival tix - my DS, DN coming down and we dancing all day + my friend is joining us, so will be fun. Hoping it wont be rainy though!!
Morries spend : Grocery Challenge - I have rejoined for June on lots green veg, salad and some pork loin, they dont do FR or corn fed chickens so I wouldnt buy one.
£16.83/£200
The soup I made from my Corn fed chicken stock - all greens either wilting (watercress, broccoli) plus frozen broad beans lots of paprika, cumin, dash of apple cider vinegar etc was actually one of the best I have made in years !!
The free airfryer I am enjoying using it - largely as I dont need to add extra fat. Yet to actually crisp something in it mind you - only done burgers, chicken breast and pork so far. All good.
VINTED - got an offer for £25 for an old vintage denim jacket I found at my parents, been on my vinted for 6 months so accepted it and looking forward to getting paid and getting it out the house.
Minimalism game - back on it - it helps me get in the habit of looking round the house and seeing what needs getting rid of or what I dont need.
day 1 5 things - old tupperware
Day 2 - 3 things and a vase for CS
Day 3 - 3 so far and some bits out the bathroom inc a hand cream I had for 5 years .... and the cream wont come out the tubing no matter what I do.

Airfryers are fab DGs aunt went on about this for about 5 years before we got ours how good they were but we just ignored her. She was someone who had more than 20 kitchen machines so hard to take her serious all the time in our defence.

Admire your perseverance in keeping something on Vinted that long. I usually give up after a few weeks and CS items.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I offered £2.60 for a £3.00 item which had been listed for FOUR YEARS the other week - and it got rejected 🤦♀️! True, I'd only recently had a notification to say that they'd dropped the price from £6.00, but if you've not sold it in 4 years and are still trying to persevere, surely you're going to accept any offer you get 🤷♀️???Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!7 -

I had an evening side hustle so popped after to the Ald* opposite the overground £17..., looking for a FR Corn fed chicken which they had loads of so
I do like a chicken every 4 days as provides me with loads meals and great soup stock. Plus lean protein...
Bought some nuts, some red spring onions (never seen them before 99p), the fr chicken, some greens plus some bathroom cleaner (separate budget)
£34.11/£200 spent on groceries so far
I do have family here this weekend so will get some more speciality foods in as my DN has loads allergies and has somewhat understandably become picky. However she does love my cooking especially my experimental GF DF baking and so I can push her to eat things I cook
