Well done for standing up for yourself and others re the flat and especially the 'on call' work situation. With regard to the latter, it's always easy for the people you deal with to ignore you - as I've pointed out in the past, they get paid their salary without question - how would they feel if it wasn't the case?! Being self-employed is so hard sometimes (but has so many advantages!).I did point out that I am sure in ten years they all personally had a bigger rise - they have a tender for a govt contract -that they let slip runs out end this year - if I have the energy/focus I may yet get together with another company and tender for it (not that I mentioned that)! (Have tendered and won govt contracts before )I was very clear with the operations director that them being unwilling to find some money from what they earn over and above our day rate (we are talking less than £100 per day ) for 2 days just shows their disrespect and it’s their choice to have the bottom of the chain workers be harmed financially and time wise .. viva la revolution!
however @beanielou says - in the long run I am doing myself a favour - in standing up for me being paid what I am worth and saying no to being used in a way that’s excessive to the contract only benefits me -
I also have take full responsibility for just drifting along on this contract - I have a few companies I work for over 10 plus years doing odd pick up contracts yet the rates all now need shifting - I have to be more dynamic about demanding increases etc - so this current ridiculous under nat min wage debacle on the on call is my wake up call - I have a house to buy now I don’t have the luxury of being so laid back financially
@watty1 @PenniesIntoPounds I am rocking my beret and may decorate /dye one of my existing caps to be more Che
Themadvix is right though - I need to rebalance
- planning a weekend of MB, excels (as want to catch up this work as was fairly useless Friday day after lots champagne Thurs with friends ) some exercise etc but no plans Sat Sun drinking etc
popped out last night for a V Day dinner - I had won a gift voucher so used it to take fellow single friend to dinner for his 60th bday - voucher was £70 and I bought bottle of house wine, paid for service so extra £44 but we had a nice chat though think we confused our fellow dinners especially as my friend was flirting hard with the handsome waiterHappy Saturday all and a belated happy V day - for those of you feeling you didn’t get a full roses experience- then I suggest you buy yourself some YS flowers todayDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Argh!! Maybe people are a lot more loved up where you are) They had pink candles etc on sale at my Sains today
Had my bloods done 3 months ago as was on new hrt stuff - the extra oestrogen definitely helping .. and finally got to chat with dr who I want to prescribe me on a small amount of testosterone as well - I had asked about it last Sept but we needed to get O levels sorted first as despite me being on the gel my body was not absorbing it properly . She can see my low testorerone levels now all else is better..
(So everyone get your blood hormone levels checked after a few months of being on HRT as I Do feel better )
Apparently there are 2 male testosterone on NHS so part the HRT prescription annual cost but the female one is private / looks about £1 a day. She says they are the same thing ..
Had the NHS one prescribed- but has anyone tried either the male or the female Testosterone? As I'd rather not pay extra if I don’t have to however just opened the one I have been prescribed on NHS and it has 'FOR ADULT MALE USE ONLY" ALL OVER IT!!!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

I had to have the testosterone prescribed privately. In the area i am in it is not an NHS thing at all. My HRT journey was a bit of a nightmare as a GP refused it and I was so furious I simply went straight to a hormone specialist privately and ended up on thyroxine, oestrogen, progesterone, dhea and testosterone. As a result of some very frank conversations, the NHS now provide the progesterone and thyroxine but have looked at my private script and simply said they cannot do the DHEA or testosterone and the oestrogen mix is better than anything they can prescribe but to come back if I ever feel I cannot afford it.
The need for testosterone stopped when I sorted out matters with PPH which private doctor suggested was because my levels had come up and my stress had dropped. I am due another blood test soon so will be interesting to see. Not sure where in London you are but I think Westminster has a specialist clinic that will prescribe testosterone for you if you are in that area (you might need a referral to it - this is a hazy recollection from a woman I once chatted to)
Huge fan of measure via testing and correct as I was almost unable to function when hormone levels were at their worst and had some very dark thoughts.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

@Watty1 tx for sharing that super interesting
I have found a local specialist HRT doctor within my GP service, but it does take a while to get to speak to them. When I went in September, because I was feeling so exhausted, that’s when they could see how I had really low levels so I am better due to me taking Lenzetto and also extra progesterone alongside having a Mirena coil
However, I am just testing out the male testosterone - the one in the little sachet it’s just a bit freaky taking something with huge warnings on and implications for adult male only all over it…
However I am taking it largely for energy and focus and it can help with mood too - so will report back - my skin doesn’t absorb gel stuff well - that was issue with the Ostrogel I was taking
had friends go in TsT and say they felt fantastic and my current levels are low so let’s seeSpending
this is largely on food and some junk food .. bought the dinner out Friday alongside a voucher
I Do have some new monthly software costs that have slid in with these classesDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
