Every test on adhd in the books suggest I am indeed but I am v high performing and rather not go on unnecessary meds. I do find doing a lot of the natural adhd approaches inc exercise, lots protein etc do help as does lack of clutter etc
Pimlic* Plumbers not got back to me yet - I called to complain last Monday - so if I dont hear back tomorrow (5 working days) I will be making a pointed phone call.
Client pushing the boundaries, I have worked with them on short contracts for 10 years - I will be saying that if they dont sort this out I wont be working for them again
Sunday community meeting tonight re the legal stuff - all been quiet so far.
I have had a lazier day than i expected but I needed it.
MG - 13 things and pulled out and getting ready to put my extra Bli*nk camera inside as my 30 day free subscription runs out tomorrow so when I add the extra camera my 30 day free trial will kick off again-
Found lots of vitamins (unopened ) in top cupboard as I got up there to repot 2 plants luckily all in date - so that has saved me repurchasing them..
YOGA based on this book talking about daily stretching allowing the body to not so quickly respond to stress in familiar old not helpful patterns I did 25 mins yoga at home this morning and felt great afterwards - chilled, relaxed, calm.
This afternoon I actually read a bit more of the book in bed - didnt do anywork but then I rarely work at weekends.
Made some more of that fabulous soup and have enough stock left to make the squash, chickpea and lime soup I have made before. Will pressure cook the squash first

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... Have a good week…🙂
i am having a super busy week and but also looking after/walking my friends huge mastiff - she is gorgeous, massive and like a giant puppy. Very sweet natured and very trained
She does like to sleep with her massive head on my foot, every room I am in she follows
So its a nice destress (apart from the super sized poo bags!) whilst working for 2 different clients this week - plus I am fighting the tech software mac/windows incompatibility (solved after 3 days - micrsoft were fairly useless) but its a fun challenge..
Plus the ongoing battle with agency paying a half day rate for oncall whilst expecting us all to watch whats app and be ready to jump on a call at one seconds notice (and I mean one second) thats still ongoing drama - i have said sort it or I am never working with you again - a ten year relationship and I am brilliant but refuse to be paid less than national min wage whilst being on call like this for 9 hours, its impossible to do anything else.
Plus the Piml*** plumbers who after many emails back forth where they couldnt see the video I sent or needed more tech details (when they had had them all) and then tried to just refund £420 of the 3rd party plumbers bill (theirs was £750!) arguing it was like for like ... errr PP blew up their new CB and my current one is a refurb CB, so definitely not like for like - plus I had an extra week of freezing with no boiler and their extra 1.5 hrs charged was the PP plumber trying to work out what was wrong (after he had installed the CB in wrongly then blew it up)
If I had not had the 3rd party guy in, the PP would have cost me minimum £1800 as they would have replaced the fan unecessarily then realised need another CB and more labour to figure out the wrong weird wire he had attached and missing chip they removed..
So current offer is £600 refund - they arguing the £150 call out fee (£125+vat) is still valid.
I have said ok but what about goodwill, extra week of no heating when it was 2 degrees, extra cost of standalone radiators - I borrowed 2 and they cost extra £3-4 /day) so lets see

Received my £60 survey money and £10 bank referral fee so I have decided both need to go into my sipp/hse fund as opposed to being lost in the general budget so £70 split:
£10 referral fee and £25 going into my SIPP (had some in my YNAB waiting so adding £100 (was £95.75 so TT rounding up extra £4.25)
£35 into my cash isa for my house.
Cash TT isa £3.99 interest paid yesterday so £1,061.69 and will add the £35 and round up as also a bit more cash sitting in my hse deposit YNAB category so £63.31 round up makes £1025 in there now
SIPPS are now £63,756.34 as of today so want to add some for this tax year - ideally hit the £70,000 by April 5th this year so lets see what the mkts do as my Van sipp shot up by £1k in last 2 weeks.
i note again the Van doing so much better and so much cheaper than my HL one (less than 10% now of Van), partly to do with picks and partly the fees.
I know when I got my MIP - the broker asked re my pensions etc .. I really want to pad this SIPP as the bigger it is the more when I come to buy they can see I have a decent amt saved which I can always argue can be pulled out for the mortgage if required. I do have an old DB as well but I definitely need a paid off home at some point in my retirement calcs..
Fighting the good fight. (now 4 of these on going it seems) and taking a stand
I am not normally so argumentative but I guess 2025 is my year of More Purrs (@beanielou) for others and myself. I now have the capacity and energy to argue for the others who are more vulnerable as well as myself - a real change from me just walking away from the fight as I often do. Some hills we choose to die on and there are a few right now I do choose to cause a ruckus for the greater good
This is part the Buddhist principal of transforming where you are into the Buddha land, transforming yourself to be stronger, kinder, wiser, that wherever you find yourself you are there to heal/better/transform the situation and transform yourself. Passion and Anger can be both good and bad - its how we express it and what it motivates us to change in our environment and others.
Trying to also get my own work done as well importantly
Battle1 - flat - no movement apart from an offer of another place many many miles form here that the old agent has and a 'one month goodwill free rent'... they are clearly getting nervous.. which does delight me.
Battle 2 today
My one 10 year old relationship with a client I have officially told them today I wont be working for them again given the way they are demanding attention every second of the working day when we 'on call' and they are paying a ridiculously low on call rate, the on call people actually needing to work more and be on a 'one second ' standby - sadly not an exaggeration vs the fully paid day rate. Client arguing they cant changed the contract with their business partner, I asked them for them to pay a measly amount amount to all of us end of chain who are actually doing the work to make it fairer and they not willing to cut into their own margins. A tiny amount but in them refusing it shows their disrespect
It was a polite conversation but La Plan was in full flight about fairness for all, and them stating the contract is the contract but me pointing out abuse and asking work over and above the contract. I havent ever bothered being registered with other companies (who apparently pay much more) that do the same thing but its given me the kick in the behind to do so..
Some of my colleagues feel the same but feel unwilling to speak up as they dont want to risk being black-listed - they need the money- I am in the fortunate position now to be able to take a stand... as with my building ongoing battle, yet again I have spoken up when I did not need to and fight for others when I didnt need to.
I do also feel when one stands for what is fair for all, the universe does reflect that back. I will not work for such a low day 'on call' rate whilst working literally every second of that day and I have told them that - I am incredible and experienced at what I do for them, as are my colleagues and this company is taking the proverbial..... we had one tiny increase £20 of day rate in the 10 years of doing contract work with them
So I will chant for their happiness but I need to only do work now with well paid day rates. I have a London home to buy
Fight 3. Pim plumbers - 3 days now and they not got back on my pushback on the last offer £600 refund as they arguing the £150 is not refundable as he diagnosed the issue (which my plumber did in 2 mins) - .. just chased them
Fight 4 - a friendship group dispute - details too much to type but again I am being positioned as chief 'sort it out -er', as a LA Plan who likes to party and get along with everyone I am transforming into Revolution La Plan.. I will be wearing a natty beret a la Che Guevera next
'Vive la revolution'
(I wont be wielding a guillotine though)

Crikey LaPlan - make sure you get a chance to refill your cup - you're pouring in every direction at the minute. Hope the friendship issue can at least be sorted quickly. Well done for standing up for yourself and others re the flat and especially the 'on call' work situation. With regard to the latter, it's always easy for the people you deal with to ignore you - as I've pointed out in the past, they get paid their salary without question - how would they feel if it wasn't the case?! Being self-employed is so hard sometimes (but has so many advantages!).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Good for you darling, rock that beret 🥂
If it's the same friendship group who, if I recall correctly, didn't chip in for what was supposed to be a group gift/meal, then you can drop that in too, you do have a home to buyhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
