Book sounds interesting. Have you ever looked into adhd?

My condolences on the loss of your friend.

So annoying about the original boiler guy and the dodgy client.

That soup was amazing but the corn fed chicken definitely produce a much better stock than even the FR. Best soup I ever did was on a lamb bone stock but rarely eat lamb  nowadays.

Decluttering slowed down as I am literally home for a few hours then back again.
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Crikey LaPlan - make sure you get a chance to refill your cup - you're pouring in every direction at the minute. Hope the friendship issue can at least be sorted quickly. Well done for standing up for yourself and others re the flat and especially the 'on call' work situation. With regard to the latter, it's always easy for the people you deal with to ignore you - as I've pointed out in the past, they get paid their salary without question - how would they feel if it wasn't the case?! Being self-employed is so hard sometimes (but has so many advantages!).

Good for you darling, rock that beret 🥂

If it's the same friendship group who, if I recall correctly, didn't chip in for what was supposed to be a group gift/meal, then you can drop that in too, you do have a home to buy
