I guess if it works I could keep and get a huge discount but I have to be honest I am very wary given how much it has moved in delivery. They have not come back to me... 24 hrs apparently
I have been really looking forward to playing it - I have visions of candles and a record playing going - and my parents have lots of old inherited 60s original jazz records I want to play and hear fully uncompressed plus sample vox and have fun playing.debtfreewannabe321 said:
Holiday sounds fab and I think we just have a knowing very early on if a partner is going to fit well long term.
Good luck with the job hunt 😁

Had defrosted gf ys burgers and veg today .. plus I have loads Vegan protein shake so plan to use that for lunches/dinners as expiry date is soon on one new tub I never opened (was a subscribe and save of choc flavour where I prefer the other flavours) plus some left in another.. may make some high protein DF GF cakes...

I love swimming when it's warm like that too. Glad you had a nice holiday even if you're not sure MWAP is going to be a long term more serious thing.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I would say just return and get refund on the record player, it's visibly damaged and badly packed and as you say you don't know what else has been damaged and when you find out it'll be too late. Gorgeous though your vision sounds, you can live without a record player for your remaining time in this flat. Put the refund money in your flat pot along with the tan lotion money you mentioned on my diary!
I know flats are so costly it feels like bunging a bit here and there won't make any difference, but when you find your place if you've saved up a few extra grand that's a satisfying chunk of solicitor costs covered that don't have to come out of your total deposit factoring, or mortgage month money if you're feeling things are tight, or a record player plus wine once you're in...
Eyes on the prize LaPlan!6 -
@PenniesIntoPounds the record player was bought 90% with birthday money so whilst you make sense re saving it - the money was given specifically for that .. I had deliberately not bought it but saw the auction price so ..
I will send it back though - they have said weirdly it’s on a 14 day guarantee (not heard that on an item from there’s) I do have to pay for postage annoyingly though
I plan to first set it up to see how it is and if it’s the right one for my birthday money - I will see if I can replace it via eBay rather than new
@savingholmes i love a cold sea but those waters were gorgeous
On MWAP sometimes people are there to hang with for a while and it’s all v lovely kind and he likes to travel and no drama so
@sandyshores yes it’s u.co.uk - and enjoy! Please report back on how you find it
I am so pleased I have found the swedish cleaning show - for myself and you all to watch - so good and also emotional - as they often say we are going to die so let’s live in a home that reflects us now
they have episodes on people who lost their partners, a mum with 8 kids who all moved out and have left loads of stuff and won’t declutter and a man who is now cancer free but has all his parents stuff in the basement and won’t look at it or let it go for 5 years - I so see myself and my parents and friends in the show
I have so much stuff to sort and DN arriving Sunday so I won’t get what I want done in time. I did go back into my hall shelving stuff - all sat on a unit clogging my hall that is going on my local what’s app group as soon as extra shelves go up on Saturday in the massive hall cupboard (12 foot x 2 x 4 ) - I am planning a singular shelf of stuff to be sorted ..
I received 2 lovely dining chairs from my neighbour but have kept my old one (got rid of other one) and now I have too many chairs .. my old one is v sturdy for standing on and I am planning to paint soon so ..
decluttering is so many small decisions
I did get loads of work done yesterday but never made the gym so trying to go this morning insteadDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

I should start counting again really - so many small bits
CS bag now has books, an old evening handbag some speakers I don’t use or have correct lead for, costume jewellery I don’t wear
@beanielou great shop suggestion tx
I am loving seeing just how much toiletry stuff I have clearly as it is stopping me buying more ! I was running out of my fav creams and replacing it and not using the serums /face creams I have been gifted etcI sorted it so have all my bathroom /toiletries out in open container - divided in 2 sections - hair and body -I get given samples and buy when I travel so if it’s hidden away it just accumulates and I replace without thinking
I have excess face creams and serums in another box (make up in other room on dressing area) plus what I am using now in the bathroom cabinet
it’s all useable so I am not buying anything til I have used what’s there - even the samples I took some away with me to start getting through them. There is some not worn makeup (gifts) or those eyeshadow pallets where you used the favourite colours in - again they are out and unless I throw them away I am not buying more
I have been going back in to my makeup drawer and decluttering more each week
I need to cull the brushes as wellDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

I love clothes too LWAP, maybe a little bit too much 😂 so much so that I recently had to diet as things were getting too tight and everyone kept telling me I was fine and but the clothes told me otherwise 😫 any how sorted now and eating better for my health.

Glad you enjoying the GAOSDC show - I saw 3 more episodes last night
I have emptied my hallway shelving unit and already got a neighbour picking it up for free at 630pm.. Useful having such a big local whatsapp group - rarely sell on it - though it has happened - but so easy to get rid of usable stuff and also to pick it up. My coat-rack, shoe track and shelving unit were all picked up free on the group and now have been passed back..
Vinted first sale! £5
put some sports gloves never used up today and its gone - i priced it to sell soWill post tomorrow with my returning turntable as same shop.
Now I am thinking is my Vinted sales money to be kept in Vinted for possible purchases or pulled out and added to house deposit fund.
I also added another jacket -
I am planning to add only things that are expensive or up for a few days cheap before then CSing them, I cant have piles of to sell stuff everywhere.
Food/Trying to not further exacerbate my Grocery overspend ..Grocery £225.23 plus £33 bulk (coffee mainly) vs £160 goal plus £30 bulk
Breakfast was a vegan protein shake as below, lunch will be some mackerel as expiry date tomorrow and I have defrosted a chicken breast for this eve- served with whatever frozen veg I have in (loads)
I had a red cabbage in from last week - rarely buy it so i have shredded half in my mandolin and its marinating in HM apple cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, and herbs and a squeeze of lime to go with the mackerel, one tomato left from my rip and I will get some greens out the freezer. I even bought the excess GF bread from abroad back so thats in the freezer sliced so easy to grab
I have 1.2 huge tubs vegan choc protein shake left so I am determined for health, protein and budget reasons to have at least one a day in a smoothie with frozen kale and blueberries, flax seed and chia seeds and will count as a healthy snack. One scoop is 24 g protein and only 106 kcals and the tubs are already bought - not had it in months but expiry date is drawing close and my GC budget will thank me as will my waistline after my French food adventure.
I am trying to get it down to one tub - maybe another 4 /5 days before I open the second huge tub - 70 servings !
