Hope the viewing is exciting, definitely worth prioritising finding a place over everything else (once you've met financial deadlines).

Not seeing anything new til next week.. Have been looking online and might look at different areas. Part of me is thinking I am very busy and have a lot of projects on til mid June - some abroad so I almost want to hang back til after then to keep looking but I will keep my eye out.TallGirl said:Watty1 said:I have never actually been to iceland - have just googled the cauli rice. EA Watch
Got a fairly useless email back from head saying communication was bad but stating the law says 'promptly' putting the 2nd offer forward - er 2 days is not. promptly and actually it is as soon as is possible... I will when I have chance respond and then complain to the property ombudsman.
I did get a call from another of their agents today as have been promised they will still look as they do have some good places but I dont like the EA itself now.
Comp win - I have won a £150 gift card to an Italian chain of restaurantsI got the 'you have won' message whilst away and squealed
So MWAP wondered why I was squealing so I have promised to take him - probably get 2 meals or 3 with no drinks out of £150 plus I note I have a student discount with this chain most days of the week so
Or I may take him then also take my mum- not got it yet..
Last Minute side hustle - this has come in via email yesterday so now I am trying to figure it if I can say yes and add to an insanely long list of todo's by Sunday/Monday - it would be good and move some things forward.. I will need to get my graphic guy involved..
I am reframing my busy-ness as have very specific big tasks I just need to knock off one by one.
Wish me luck

Personally I would not put off looking for a flat for a few months.
I am in the process of selling a house, just me and the buyer in the chain, so as I accepted the offer in November, I honestly thought it would all be through in January.
at the moment its looking like the end of April….. absolutely ridiculous queries from solicitors, who are then too busy to look at replies for 3 weeks !Once the offer is accepted it can take ages before you complete.Very pleased about your new man x4 -

I am not looking forward to non efficient solicitors.... I am v efficient, accurate and fast at work and in response in what I do.. so I expect the same... Guess thats why I get paid well and I continue to work with the same people/companies for decades
New Man is very lovely - luckily he has his kids this long weekend so I can get some work done!Sistergold said:Welcome back @LadyWithAPlan, unfortunately although most of us have been hurt we are still romantics! 🫣😍 so glad after the text breakup and the non-refund guy this one sounds great! Glad the trip went well.
Lovely win for the £150.
Good luck with knocking all your mini goals / tasks out of the park.
I too would not suspend flat hunting. I put mine on the market end June. Offer received around end August. I found somewhere about end Sept. That fell through early Dec. Moved end of Jan. I got my solicitors through £supermkt and was concerned but think I got a good deal really. They were over £1K cheaper than my local solicitors.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I would keep your eye out on flats even if you aren't expending as much energy on it as you have been - you never know what's going to come up.
