I personally would avoid the JKW. There are better places out there.
The holiday plans sound lovely.
You've had some over-paid invoices? Does that mean some are now up to date?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@savingholmes yes !!
The 1-2m away JKNW does worry me but not as much as the EA behaviour - manager now ignoring my detailed showing of the 2 day delay ... and banging on about flat prices.. I have stated that it is not about the flat but the behaviour - unacceptable and illegal so now I am to complain to head of business ,... I sent a quick email but got a ' im on holiday for a week bounceback...'Humdinger1 said:They picked on the wrong one with you @LadyWithAPlan!!
A v good friend is a barrister and she is always on the case for standing up for others. so she is cheering me on .. She once had a higher bid ignored - EA said he never got it so she got the IT department to look and the EA said he hadnt seen his emails! They had gone with the lower bidder by then but then their financing had fallen through and they emailed her a few months later saying are you still looking ..Merlin's_Beard said:I love the idea of hanging signs on doors as you pay them off.
I do feel like this flat is full of bad vibes from the EA to the JKW.
Me too ! On the doors and the EA/JKW grrr - such a great light filled flat though and those period features!
I will have to invent some art for doors or walls of rooms paid off - as been a nice motivation when I move in to really appreciate that 25% or so immediately bought with my deposit paid off as I face a £300k plus mortgage...Watty1 said:Nice plans for the trip away and so much less stressful to be focused on the company than the destination. There is time for that in the future
My ears perked up at the idea of a MB app. I've only dabbled lightly with MB.
My pretend bets at Cheltenham did very wellI don't actually bet as i think that could be addictive but I have fun picking out horses and watching or listening to the odd race. MB is of course different so allowable!
I have made a lot over the years on MB but now mainly Casino as most bookies have gubbed me on the sports side as I have taken too much value from them... poor them...
I have a referral code and a free trial if you want to DM me. It is full of videos and next step so took me from completely ignorant and I have made 10s of thousands now .. I lost my excel of mb tracking from my first 2 years of profits which is always the most as lots of sign up offers at the start but I have made easily £5,750 per year tax free since... and I always put my MB profits beyond my float split between my hse deposit and my sipp
On the 'app' it isnt an app its a next level odds/data breakdown for identifying value on horse extra places, and other value advanced trades with MB - so for advanced which I am now.. (They have finally agreed to let me have a few days trial after my holiday as been with them so long so then I can see if I think there is value as its expensive. I have renewed at my normal rateSouth_coast said:I don't think my brain is up to MB, so I just did a normal bet on the Gold Cup. Won £8 (or lost £12, depending on how you look at it 😀🤣)
YNAB - just paid for travel insurance renewal - annual worldwise inc business cover but not winter sports, registration for a work event abroad and also had the joy of realising I had already put more than enough in my personal travel pot over the last 2 months so the flight I paid for is covered...
I went for cashback but not sure if its registered as I had so much on.
AGE OF MONEY 37 DAYS
Grocery spend £53.45 + bulk 0 + junk crisps £7.45 - this is v low spend however prosecco/champagne YNAB pot looking quite low as well due to the spends.
Low grocery spend as been away, MWAP is taking me out to eat a lot, I was away last weekend and will be abroad on a holiday this coming weekend and I am rifling through my freezer. I did go to Iceland to stock up on frozen veg and their great Cauli rice in perfect size packs works out at 50p per pack - 100g which is cheaper than buying fresh and grating
MWAP is taking me to a sunny climate _ I paid for my flight - as he wants to spend some chilled quality time with me (argh) ... hopefully sun will be shining and he doesnt get too upset about all my excess luggage I always takeHe has paid for an extra trolley for me
Better to know my faults now I reckon.
Dancing - Sat night - i went out with a friend and such a great dance and laugh.. one round of 3 drinks £38 (2 pros, one red wine) , one round of 2 prosecco £24, but on guest list so free entry and got the tube out and bus homeJust found loads of old great clips on youtube including this one from Janis Joplin - love her so much - before my time but that voice, that soul kills me every time.. She died the next year ...Janis Joplin "Maybe" on The Ed Sullivan Show

EA Watch
manager came back ignoring my concerns said it’s just the EA could have managed communication better . So need to write the full complaint out as man I am composing to is away till Monday.
Not oooked at anything else as no time this week
I have taken a huge amount on at present / feeling quite stretched - lots of projects, admin (taxes, registrations, work things, necessary info) all need doing now or next Wed or by 31st so fact I am off on this weekend break Friday early is not helping this feeling of ‘how am I going to get this all done’ - managed to break a wheel on my small bag coming home last week somehow so need to borrow one or buy a new one - will pop to TKMaxx before a meeting today / hate this unnecessary time waste plus like a specific carry on
I am not thus as excited as I could be re my first trip with MWAP but I am sure it will be lovely once there . Starting to date and the time it takes (phone chats getting ready actual dates and this first trip) is so lovely but it’s a lot of time in my already busy life - gym has slipped and I need to get more productive rather than stressing about what things I keep shoving off to tomorrow
either way my very long to do list this week or by mid next week is a bit !!!! .. so chanting first thing to then get focused
Due to long to do list I have been doing some major admin bits at nights so then going to bed a bit later which isn’t great - however I am happy to recognise I am doing well - chunking thru some things saying - just get this done before bed so travel insurance renews - a work trip flight with stop to see friend first is booked, a conference registration applied for so actually I am working well and it’s fine so I am reframing my stress about this as yes it’s loads but I am doing it
I am the one saying yes to a lot. I also really want a pedicure with shellac for the beach - a twice annual treat .. so will aim to do that today as well - might relax meDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

Enjoy your trip to sunnier climes.
It does sound full on with you but you are great at juggling. I would look at whether any of your urgents can be reprogrammed for later.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Goodness it sounds exhausting but there is a relaxing trip in sight - good call to go for that rather than a "to do" tripMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -
You can do it definitely sounds like you have a fight on your hands with the EA (as you know I am not a fan) go for it. Worth it for your own sanity to have your say just do not expect too much.
End of tax year sounds hectic hope you get it all sorted and can get off and relax sound perfect I really hope you get on well and manage to recharge your batteries.Save £12k in 25 No 49
