we all need someone who enjoys doing taxes! I would have paid with copious amounts of wine or tea, and cake or olives (or whatever your tipple and food preference was
)
I added a further £1k also before end tax year to SIPP - took my hse deposit down by £500 - could do more especially as I add via my ltd company so its a huge tax advantage but its OK.. Not quite the 15% but every little helps
Still recovering from that crazy long weekend of work and just refiguring my plans...
Also the study needs a major declutter ...DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Well done on the SIPP including encouraging others.
I read on Sandy's diary you'd started the great study declutter... Hope it goes well and you don't get trapped in the recovering sunk costs trap.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I have been so busy study has become a dumping ground - and I was looking at it with the new man over the weekend - and it’s slightly embarrassing (except I have been super busy )
I could make it a v useful space
it’s quite dark apart from in the afternoon - which means it’s cooler in the summer as rest of my flat has huge windows
there is the screwed to the wall desk plus a cupboard, studio lights, cases, creative stuff, sewing machine, printer , washing stuff , clothes to sell and yes the recovering sunk cost stuff
Vinted and I need a date - I will endeavour to put on 2 things each day
£118.49 /£150 grocery - feels v high as early in month but I have been eating freezer and cupboards down
grocery spend Aldi £56.90 £1.30 were crisps & £48.24 sains plus £9 wine
the MWAP spent weekend with me and i had to restock. He pays for most the dinners so I wanted to cook loads - he did do the washing up for the meals but then insisted Monday on brunch out as he didn’t want the washing up !
I made that fabulous lamb lentil Regan Josh with crispy potatoes which we both loved
We are at Disho@m again - their black dal and chicken tikka skewers were amazing as always
We also had a Brazilian brunch - that fabulous traditional bean pork dish
good news is he likes a variety of foods as I do - I always eat less healthy in restaurants as I cook so well and clean at home - so I can feel a few extra pounds I need to ensure get shifted before they stay on
i have been procrastinating this week as my to do list is immense again
I am choosing to get back into the gym habit as well by starting todayDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

Sounds like a lovely weekend and good balance of home and eating out. Just get on Vinted once you get in the swing of things it will be easy and you wonder why you had not done it sooner.

Entirely up to you obvs but you might find it a better use of time to have a day/evening dedicated to doing all your Vinted listings, as if you put a couple up every day and they sell, you'll have to constantly find time to post them on an ongoing basis.
You can also set different deal options on your profile so people get a small discount if they buy x amount of items, which may be worth it if you're putting a fair few things up as that's then definite sales and only one journey/packaging up to do for shifting two or a few items7 -
Just popping in to say hello. Your deposit savings are very impressive!! Good luck on your search and buying process, buying in London is so stressful. When we found our flat they had 28 viewings and it turned into a bidding war. We managed to get it at the end but had to pay way over the asking price.

This study looks interesting on the ISA V SIPP debate
https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/isainvesting/article-13233155/Isa-vs-pension-one-invest-in.htmlInteractive Investor looked at the merits of a pension vs an Isa over 40 years and the pot that could be built up and income taken. .... A basic-rate taxpayer who paid into a pension over 40 years could end up with an annual income nearly £700 higher than if they saved into an Isa, according to Interactive Investor. A higher-rate taxpayer could end up with £6,000 more in annual income.
@savingholmes tx - MWAP is lovely however he is taking up a lot of time I don’t have - I am

I am casually looking on RM but friends are saying to hold my horses as banks are trying not to lend at present / v hard to get the mortgage -
a friend got a over 8.5% quote on a commercial mortgage .
deposit is good but I am behind in being paid so I may be drawing it down … got to have a stern conversation with one client who is not paying me as agreed - I may need a new client ..
Had Greek on Friday night - and over weekend went to the London Palladium to see a great gig with a 14 piece band. Gorgeous to hear strings and some lovely tunesIt’s a weird theatre as it’s historic, beautiful and I go probably 3 times a year but I always end up sitting in the grand circle so up in the gods ! Luckily I am not scared of heights but the rake angle is steep especially with heels
Gym has slipped so off this morning / happy Sunday allDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

The very first concert I went to was Leo Sayer and I was in the gods - would have been about 10 ish, I remember sitting there with my back pushed against the seat not daring to move in case ‘I fell off’ - was years before I went to see a show/gig again !Sealed pot challenge 822

I have sat in those kind of seats too. Scary. Sounds like you had fun though.
