Sorry the thread is up so late; I have been wrangling with my knitting. Upshot is I have given up with the pattern matching and decreasing for a raglan - it's beyond my skills, so I have two pattern sets, the rest is stocking stitch. I have finished the back so now have two fronts and two sleeves and a button band to knit.

I struggled with decreasing while keeping the pattern straight and even after writing it down I would go wrong. I can't knit now because my hands hurt too much if I do, but I never got to grips with that and often had to adapt in the same way you did!
