Valli I was shuffling and fidgeting about, I could have joined you. Seems that any quantity of alcohol makes me sleep really badly now. I only had a glass of beer with DS!
My boys are both home, the four of us under one roof last night for the first time since Christmas. And so the weekend begins, DS1 has gone off to do his shift at work and we will meet him and GF in the Lake District. A work colleague told me how lucky I am that the boys want to spend time with each other and their Mum and Dad and I suppose I take it for granted, but I am counting my blessings today.
DS1's washing machine at work has broken so he brought washing last night. It is now in the tumbler and I will take it with me.
Off for a shower now, need to drop DHs van at the garage for its MOT, pack a few things, take the dog to my parents, call at work to open up, then we are all set.
Have a good weekend all, see you Sunday x9 -
Morning all,
YL have a fantastic break, you really do deserve it. xx
Valli and HB - we are doing our best to move towards reducing plastic significantly. My butcher teases me when we turn up with our tupperware tubs for him to put the meat in, rather than having it wrapped in single use plastic! Milkman deliveries and a Sodastream have been game changers for us (we drink a lot of fizzy water).
It is a bright day here. Two egg deliveries to make this morning, I had a text from someone last night asking for some and fortunately have enough in addition to my usual Friday delivery. There is washing to do, food to make and chickens to attend to.
Have a lovely day all

I could have joined you for a rare occasion, I did consider it but I finally got back to sleep about 5:30 until I woke up at 8 to ring dr's.. funny how I don't need an alarm when it is one of the children.
I noticed a fairly significant lump on Twinkles left side of her chest yesterday and a large brown patch has grown on the back of her arm in the last 4 weeks, I scrubbed it a lot at first. Dr Google suggested anything from a bone tumour to a deformation due to fast growth (she hasn't grown) or scoliosis or various other much more likely and benign afflictions, obviously we jum to worse case scenarios.. but she is unbelievably tired and whiny and has been for a couple of months. So of course I had very little sleep.. D Google is an a$$.
I also requested an appointment for Dot for her Paed referral for melatonin trial.
Dentist on Monday but I don't know who for so I need to ring and check once I know what time OH is working that day!
Today I need to bath the pinks so they don't smell like a dog bed when we go to his mothers tomorrow.

Kaz - phew on the diary check.
and the advice re insurance is that the optimum price is achieved 3 weeks prior to renewal date. (That's MSE towers' advice).

Thank you Honey Bear9 -
thank you.. I am probably being hysterical over nothing, because she is the baby and had the heart issues I am a bit OTT with her.. She is being seen at 1:30 so hopefully she has just got a pulled muscle which just needs massage or something. she said it is a tiny bit sore but not enough to need pain relief.
Kaz, changing quote start dates by 1 day can make a difference of several pounds.. definitely worth a bit of fiddling.

Back from the quack.. basically they have no idea what he lump is, said to take her back in 3 weeks or sooner if it gets painful but it could be anything at all but they thinnk it may be hormone/growth related and will settle down by itself. The brown mark is 'a huge freckle' apparently.. I have areas which are more sensitive to melanin production so it could be a hereditary thing but again they will have a look again in 3 weeks.I need to put a reminder on my phne so I remember to make her appointment.

Good to hear that Twinkle's brown patch is a freckle. I hope her lump goes down and stops worrying you, Piggers.I feel like I've wasted most of today although I've been busy organising something for a few week's time, and two loads through the WM. Must peg out the second load. Layla's blood test result was surprisingly good, so she might be able to have the urgent surgery she needed last March in September if all continues to go well. Yay!Belovéd drank a bucket of alcohol last night, was still having loud conversations with himself at 2.10 am when he bounced into the bedroom full of the joys of life, and has managed to do some stuff in the yard and on the sundeck that has needed doing for months.Better is good enough.6

I told her she has a brown patch just like a cow.. she liked that idea.. it is the size of her palm so not a small area.
Referral sorted for Dots melatonin discussion.. 2 sorted.. I need to sort my 2-3 appointments now and chase Moomins leg op appointment and Meems MH referral which I know she won't have completed.

Piggers to reassure yourself take a picture (with a ruler or something in for scale) - then you will KNOW if it/they get bigger.
I have
sanded badly- varnished door (I am NEVER using varnish again EVER), wiped it down and undercoated it.
I have stimmed and cut back grass and not fallen down any rabbit holes (and there a a few!)
Wondering whether to gloss it...Since I have not yet showered it would make sense to do it now.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
