Holiday stuff mostly put away.. a few bags of odds and sods lying about I am slowly getting through.
We are going to MIL's on Saturday and having a talk about what can be done to make everyones life easier.. if that means we go one weekend a month or more often so SIL can have a weekend off that is what we will have to do.
Sunday we are picking up Meem who is suffering with her mental health
Squeak is signed up to online english, maths and science lessons, LA music, simply piano, Musical theatre and swimming from September.. I need to pay for swimming actually (£100 paid).. I will get on with that.. She has Duolingo for languages, she wants to learn Japanese (anime fan!) and DS1 said he will do cooking etc with her. We have a vague timetable which gives us half days 2 days a week but includes a couple of evenings and she will need time to do other stuff too so I think we are covered.
I need to buy school shoes and new lunch bags for Twinkle and Squeak. While Squeak is not at school she needs a lunch bag for her extra activities. New prescription goggles for Dot.I need to sort school clothes and check the size of the winter coats.
Today I have to ..
Vacuum through downstairs.. that requires a LOT of picking up!!Wash the hallway carpet.. flipping cat and her bottom!!
Worm the cats.. Pudding has worms so the chances are they all do.Move the table from the hallwayPut the bookcase back in the front room (its been in the hallway since November!)Move the shoe unit to a less in the way place and clear the hallway.
I think after those things I might be dead on my feet!
Parcel posting may be delegated!Boog bought a new laptop last night so hopefully that will be delivered as expected on Friday.
My bedroom is still a total bear pit.. but I am going to work through my ebeast stuff one box at a time and list on V!nted instead.. no selling fees meaning my stuff can be cheaper and leave quicker!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Well do to Dancemum's DS and Fayolle's DD.
Good luck to any more flykids collecting results.
I am a Great Aunt (again) - my nephew and his wife have welcomed another little boy into the family...6 days early. (Adds name to birthday book).
Bedroom dusted thoroughly - including dusty light bulb Just need to vacuum. Jacket spud in the oven.

Congratulations on the new arrival, Valli.
Pigpen, that sounds like a fab plan for Squeak.
I’ve been on a (for me) flying frenzy. DD is out in her car on a long trip, so I know that I am flying to distract myself.Window cleaner has been - seems the grot downstairs was on the inside. French doors in LR and large kitchen window cleaned accordingly. Venetian blind at the kitchen window also dusted, then cleaned with white vinegar. That’s a first for longer than I can remember. 2 smaller windows in the kitchen will have to wait their turn.
Whole house dusted and vacuumed.
Washing put outside, then brought back in when it started raining.
Now to tackle the kitchen, bathrooms will have to wait their turn for another day.9 -
Well my list hasn't been touched BUT.. DS1 has a new job so we talked about that and about Meems MH issues and how he can support her. Loaded DW, WM on and hung out wet stuff.
Cleared a work surface and paid half of the swimming lessons. OH can pay the rest when he gets paid.
Emails replied to and sent .. I am feeling most disorganised and adrift.. I need to rein my brain in and motivate my lazy behind.

Pigpen You sound pretty organised to me, but I know what you mean about feeling a bit adrift, thats a familiar feeling. You have reminded me, DS2 has a black padded Adidas puffa jacket that he has hardly worn, I bought it for him to go to college. When is the best time to flebay it do you think? Might do someone as a school coat.
Fayolle so pleased for DD, I am sure that Uni plans are just what she needs to feel normal and have something to look forward to.
Finished the paid stuff early so I have also dusted and hoovered, spent half an hour weeding, put all clean washing away and ironed a few bits.
We are going away for the weekend with the boys and Gfs for our wedding anniversary. Supidly I am convinced something is going to go wrong. Roll on tomorrow when we are on the road.
Something out of the freezer and chips for tea. I am losing motivation to do anything now!9 -
Kitchen sinks de-minged. How does the little one get so revolting? You're very welcome Ionafan whenever you join us. You'd be very welcome before your DGD's birthday because it's absolutely not about going full on no sugar at all, and certainly not to begin with. I'm easing myself into cutting down on it, which seems far more do-able and sensible than going cold turkey and inevitably experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Can't see the point of making it painful.Congratulations to all Flykids who've passed anything at all after this last 18 months - you're all amazing. And huge congratulations to all the teachers out there who worked their socks off through the pandemic and got those kids through the toughest time schools have ever had to deal with. You're all heroes. And congrats to those who, on top of being heroic teachers, also happened to become great aunts. Now off to a plastic-free picnic. Belovéd chairs this group, so I've had to remove all the plastic he'd packed the food in while muttering, 'It's not single use so it's okay.' Actually, with a little bit of thought, very little of it was necessary.Better is good enough.9

Honey Bear ... my town had a plastic free festival on Sunday. Fairly well attended given the weather. Still work to be done though...laminated signs on stalls. They could have used poly pockets - still plastic but reusable. I bought a stringy body scrub - the replacement of plastic is a goal I've been working towards but loofahs are too stiff.
Back bedroom cleared. All upstairs vacuumed and stairs too. House is so close to being shipshape and Bristol fashion...Just LR and DR need attention.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
