Morning all,
A busy and productive morning here so far. DS has gone to sports club, DD and I have delivered some eggs, we have also taken all of the stuff to the CS that we sorted out yesterday with the help of a friend.
The children have swimming lessons later on this afternoon, I expect DS will be shattered this evening. The washing is on the line and the sun is trying to peek through so fingers crossed it gets dry today.
Have lovely days all x9 -

I've not caught up on anyone so all the appropriate sentiments being sent to all those in need.. with love and hugs as always.
We got home just before lunch yesterday and went out for dinner for Pixies 8th birthday. After putting on both WM's, loadnig the DW and putting out the bins and OH cleaned the cat trays which no one had touched the whole week and the house was STINKING!!
I;ve got 4 loads hung out and 2 more washing, TD is on and OH is just doing the DW.I have got all the girls clothes put away which they didn't wear and emptied my case so the cases at least are away.
I have 2 Vinted sales to package which sold yesterday so I can get those sent today too.
I sold £700 of stuff for holiday spending money and we didn't even spend half despite the girls getting everything the asked for and buying the pj's I had forgotten to pack for Twinkle and a hoodie for Pixie and some extra Pj's Dot found which she wanted. The money left over is going to pay for the girls swimming and music lessons for the new academic year and school shoes.
I have knitted most of a blanket.

Happy belated birthday for Pixie, and huge congratulations on satisfying their holiday wants and still coming home with some of the folding stuff, Piggers. You were missed. Our wheelie bins have numbers on after several years of being anonymous and I've been to the chiropractor. My legs have ached for 28 years, ever since I bought this house and started running up and down the stairs like a mad thing. Why it took me that long to realise I needed to get some advice on how to live pain-free is beyond me, but I think I learned quite a bit about how I'm sabotaging myself, so that's helpful. And for those that didn't see it at the tail end of last week, I've started the 'Towards a Sugar-Free Future Challenge' over on the Debt Free Wannabee Challenges board, with a view to initially gently cutting down on the amount of added and unecessary sugar I eat. It should eventually result is me shifting this extra weight I'm carrying around on my stomach, but that's a lesser consideration at this juncture. Right now all I need, and can hope to do, is crack the cravings.Better is good enough.9

The work on DG’s continues. Today was more gardening and 6 boxes of books were collected. I getting quotes for new windows and doors tomorrow to go in my for and against file. I need to find a builder or two to quote for the other work. Then if it looks doable, we need to go deeper into the finances.House vacuumed

Went swimming. Got a message from Mr N while I was having post-swim coffee with the girls to say that our party host from Saturday had rung and one guest had tested Covid positive. Eek. Not a person we knew or mixed with, plus she apparently didn't go inside, but I stopped off to pick up some LF tests on my way home anyway. Thankfully we were both negative. Messaged my brother and the couple we did sit with at the party - they had all done tests this am and were also clear.
Paid a lot of bills - cc, final balance of Sept holiday with Mum plus 2 excursions, next term's drum lessons.
Went through a load of other admin/email 'flags' and pleased to be catching up; it had all been piling up in the last few busy days.
Mr N put one load of washing through and hung out.
Weeded and prepared the area I intend to plant out winter kale tomorrow. Watered greenhouse.
Rang my mum to discuss cakes - plan was that 17 friends/siblings etc are having a meal for Mum's 90th next week, followed by tea and cakes in Mum's garden. One step-sis was making cakes. However, youngest step-sis has to have a lumpectomy so cake-making ss is isolating so she can be carer, as the husband will be away working. Lots going on in the step-family at present - step sis in Canada had to evacuate from her home a couple of days ago owing to the proximity of wild fires; thankfully she is home today.
Lots of exercise planned tomorrow, must also sweep and wash kitchen floor as well as write up last week's student. And plant kale.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning All,
Piggers welcome back, we have missed you x
DM - well done to DS2! x
Busy morning here again. I woke, felt the BD trying to worm his way onto me, so I bounced out of bed and have been busy since.
x1 WM on the line, DDs bedding is now swishing. DW emptied and reloaded, eggs delivered, corguettes delivered, butcher, baker and greengrocer visited (and paid for said items with my egg sales money - loving this circular economy) and a few texts sent.
Both children are heading to sports club at 11am, so I need to prepare their pack ups now. Once they have gone, I will take the dog for a good walk through the woods.
Take care all xx10 -
Morning all.
Massive build up of cash in fuel account has been dealt with so some money on its way back to me.
Finally sorted out my ebay account (it all went !!!!!! over tip while I was ill) and have listed two items, including decs which would have been used at my party if it had taken place. So I shall root out the other stuff I have to list - flingy flingy fling fling. Next job is to pull money from paypal, as it will no longer be going in there from ebay sales so I might as well have it now.
Washing on line - couple of fleeces and a couple of throws. So i got to use my new blue pegbag (made from the same material as the previous one, which my sister gave me two lengths of. the 'brown' is almost all gone now as i made a new chair cover for the chair in the bedroom.
For two days, however, I have procrastinated massively and not flown. However the appearance of a dead bird and a scattering of feathers will force the issue. Having said that yesterday I batch cooked chilli sin carne and courgette soup so that's about 8 meals for the freezer. The courgette soup is ok - the creme fraiche really lifted it though.
ETA kitchen cleaned. friend visited. Detour on way home as a little road closed due to a car crash. Goodness knows how a driver managed to crash on that road - it's so short!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
