if you download the calc from nokiafree it has a drop down box next to the box serial where you can pick you box serial type
is v1,v2, griffin, original etc
browntoa has used asic6 box serial to generate the codes for the 2650 although i have unlocked them using the origianl box serail (32779)
nokias have more than one code that is correct for unlocking them0 -
drahcir - Thanks for replying mate. Is there a rule for determining which box serials will apply to which handsets, or is it something I need to read up on? If so, could you point me in the right direction for some further reading on box serials?
Thanks again,

what i do is take a note of successful codes done by others (as well as other forums and web serches) then use the quick find box serial to find out what box serial was used. and then if your unlucky like me your hard drive will break and you will have to start again as i didnt keep a written copy of my notes : (0 -

instructions on entering the code are in the first post of the thread
Browntoa - many thanks - you're a star...worked first time!!
Incidentally I used one of your links for a DCT4 calculator (Cyberdog and Hollowman) - but didn't dare use it - it came up with a completely different No: #pw+147014476512313+7#
...any idea why?0 -

Hi,
Trying to unlock a Nokia 3120 on Orange. It's that Gen stuff that really confuses me, I tried using the manual code then the V2 with no luck. I've tried 3 codes already now so I don't want to screw it up.
My IMEI is 357052007876311
Could anyone let me know what to use??
Thanks.0 -

Might help me be more confident of the correct code. I have 2 in mind so far using v2 and CUSTOM 32811 or ORIGINAL 327790 -
I'd go for Asic 6
