Morning all
Had a lovely 24 hours with DD. DS1 & Co came round on Friday evening and treated us all to a takeaway curry [nom-nom]. then yesterday morning DD and I sorted through 3 boxes of family "treasures" - mostly my kids' school reports and the birthday and Christmas cards I'd received from them over the years - and made three piles: one for her, and one for each of her brothers to take home. There are now 2 fewer boxes in the wardrobe, and almost enough space to put the 3 in there that are currently hogging a corner of the bedroom
Yesterday afternoon DH took DGS1+2 to play wargames at the shop,. DD and I had time to talk before she left, and I dealt with WMx2.
The house is tidy - well brought-up grandsons! DH is putting jacket potatoes in the oven for lunch, and the boys are cooking our evening meal, so I am enjoying not having to do much. If the rain clears, we will go out this afternoon.
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. See you on the new thread xx6 -
Hello
Lots of gentle hugs to the overwhelmed xx. I too find it so easy to reach that state and so difficult to pull myself out again. I looked up Morning Pages, Round, as I had also never heard of it. I’m not sure that it is something that I could do without becoming a useless wreck for the rest of the day, but well done to you for trying it out.
Not a lot of flying here over the past couple of days, beyond dailies, wet washing (it is 12 degrees outside atm!) and a clear ironing pile. Planted 4 rows (short rows, in case GI thinks about being impressed for a moment!) of leeks yesterday, twisted my lower back in the process. Just ouchy, nothing major.
This morning is steady rain, I really ought to do something, but need a good kick up the derrière to get motivated. I’ve just finished my book (ploughed through it, didn’t particularly enjoy it), so maybe cuppa 2 is in order.
Love and hugs all round x6 -

Labelled all the marmalade jars, and cleaned the shower room. I haven't been very consciencious about that since these two lodgers moved in, and despite that it didn't look as though it needed it, which was rather surprising. These two can stay for as long as they like! And I've started a Challenge Thread over on the Debt Free Diary section of the Forum if anyone would like to join me.Better is good enough.6

Well done on the challenge HB and glad you have enjoyed the family time Iona x
So, the forecast wasnt too bad on the coast so we headed out that way to do a walk. Set off in sunshine, 10 minutes in and the heavens opened, and it kept going for the remaining 2 hours of the walk. I quite enjoyed it, there is something childish in me that likes stomping through puddles and feeling the rain coming down. DH found that his old waterproof no longer keeps the rain out so he was less happy.
Walking gear washed and out on the line, have had a quick hoover around, bathroom and kitchen floors washed. Going to have burgers and chips for tea so that's easy. DHs monthly invoices printed, need to check my finances and make a plan for the week.
See you all on the new thread, here's hoping for a calm and happy week x
