@kazwookie definitely the wind outside!
Film decluttered, nap decluttered, now I am about to have an oven pizza and a small glass of wine whilst reading my library book. Simple pleasures. Sleep well all xx7 -
Hi all
Paid stuff this morning, then took Mum for lunch and shopping for new lampshades (which was successful in shop number 3). Then home to attend a volunteers meeting where I had to speak in front of 30 people - I was so nervous and got panicky that my voice was going to shake!! It all went well and I was so relieved when it was done.
Bedtime soon, feeling quite chilled tonight.7 -
Morning xx
The weekend began at 4.30 pm yesterday 🥳 . On my way home I paid the rent and picked up fishnchips for my tea. Had a surprise visit from DS. Then chilled with Dalziel and Pascoe on +1...so I was late(r) to bed.
Tired this morning but not banjaxed like I was last Friday. While the kettle was boiling for my brew I knotted the bin bags in kitchen and living room, and put in new bin bags; and took dry clothes off the airer and put the airer away.
Brew 2 is required. And a slice of toast. I'll check the weather forecast for the weekend and see what day is best to swish towels.
Then get dressed.
It's a plan. Finding life overwhelming at the moment - and not sure why. So teeny tiny steps in the right direction will hopefully bring me out of it.
Love to all

DD is currently en route from London with DGS1+2, ETA 11.30.
Yikes! Lots to do before they arrive, so I must get moving. So far I have eaten breakfast, given a blood sample for an antibody test, and cleared some papers off my desk. I need to move the computer and printer into my bedroom, then the room can be left clear for DGS3+4 next weekend. DD will help me with the beds.
DS1&Co are also coming here this evening and bringing takeaway curry for everyone
DS2&Co will miss the fun as they're camping somewhere where it's raining - though not by choice!
Catch up later xx7 -
Off on hols. Dailies are done, catch up soon .Spend less now, work less later.8

Thank you iona xx
I had another brew and a slice of toast with chunky marmalade - both savoured. I put away the groceries that a friend dropped off on Monday. And rinsed a plastic bottle and a milk carton - then I watched Team GB win a cycling gold in the Olympics and read a few chapters of my book (it was supposed to be one chapter, but I got carried away 😉 ) before getting dressed at 11.45. Lazy lummox 😊
While the water came to the boil for my dippy eggs I: put out the knotted bags of rubbish and the recycling; fed the birds and changed the water in the bird bath; set the towels and tea towels swishing - because it was glorious sunshine. It's clouded over now but heyho.
I've eaten my dippy eggs with toast soldiers. And watched the news - don't usually but it's on between Olympics programmes.
My eye has been playing up over the past couple of days. It seems worse when I'm stressed or tired. Boris the mood barometer 😁
As well as more Olympics and read a book time I hereby state that I will WUDUPA one bowl of pots before I go to bed tonight. Accountability!
I wonder if piggers is enjoying her holiday. I do hope so.
Hugs
