  • have a fabulous weekend away! x
  • It was fabulous, bit sad as one friend couldn't come due to covid but  my other friends were there and it was amazing to see them. I met lots of very clever nurses who frankly have been through hell and made me redouble my efforts to hand sanitise and wear masks as an absolute minimum. The stories of our beloved NHS were heart breaking. I realised I was quite stressed on the Saturday morning when recounting a story of kindness from the town I live in I burst into tears. That was mortifying, but they were all very polite! I felt stupid but equally I may never see them again so hey ho. I do feel like I need a good cry. The only down side of the trip was we shared rooms and bathrooms but no where had locks.......It was quite funny really as there was one toilet with a lock on, it ran out of toilet roll twice! The pool was fantastic and the massage was great, I didn't drink loads as was shattered Friday and then we had to leave at 10am today so didn't fancy the hangover on the train. We played some games and that was so funny. They might do the trip next year, so I shall have a think, the place was lovely.

The journey home wasn't fun tho, delays, no seats, and now I feel quite ill - did a covid test and it is negative thank God.

I am considering getting a monthly massage? What do you reckon? My back hurts such a lot and my right shoulder is truly the worst pain I have ever felt. My special friend commented on how tense my back and the poor girl doing my massage did put such a lot of effort in.

Watching Doctor Who, pretty good. XXXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Glad you enjoyed it. Might be worth trying the monthly massage if it helps.

I shall investigate, I do have a friend who does them but I don't want to blur the lines if that makes sense? plus if I do cry or anything embarrassing (!) I won't have to worry about stories etc. Not that I think she would really. I just want to keep it separate.

Am sweating, Hopefully the illness won't hang around. Time to break out the crisps.

Very glad you had a good time and there’s nothing wrong with letting a few tears out!

Had everything been ok at home when you got back?

I tried an alternative therapy, Bowen, recently and that’s been the best for my ridiculously tight back and burning pain shoulder.

I think a massage would be really lovely for you. Try to make time for you. Your weekend sounded good.

  • Am so ill.

So so ill. I don't like it. I mean obviously no one does but it is highly unsettling. I did change the rabbit and guinea pig cages yesterday as the smell was horrendous. Outside rabbits only got seen once. Managed to set cover(took forever), spent the rest of the time in bed. Night time is the worst as I seem to wake up either shivering or sweating. Am currently wearing a dressing gown - unheard of in this house (Living room 23.5 degrees). I can't relax. Bed was soaked this morning. SO gross.

On the plus side am neither spending money or using petrol. Done two covid tests both negatives and have sent for a PCR test just in case. Am super paranoid about Mum. I ache so much, my knees an my back, Good grief. It hurts!

Still can type today and feel more lucid.

Am keeping away from Mum and she has just come in with porridge.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

It sounds so much like covid. Take it as easy as you can and don’t forget regular paracetamol.
