Delurking to put hand up too - sleep is essential to your well being!
Also, would these help your mum unplug the blanket? I know a lot of people who find them useful: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Plug-Tugs-Plug-Mobility-Arthritis-Help-Pullers-Pack-of-10-/194032260539?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-02 -
RosaBernicia said:Buffy...If I told you about a friend whose partner expects her to cook a roast dinner every day after full time work, walk the dogs, get the shopping, organise his medical care, pay his mortgage while giving her no rights to the house, is consistently rude and critical, and insists that she stay up until he wishes to sleep even when she is exhausted and sick... what words would you use to describe that relationship?
Literally never looked at it like that. That is really upsetting. I don't mean you have upset me, I mean wow. honestly just gone day by day without noticing I doesn't she expects a roast dinner every day but often Sunday is a thing. There are so many "things". And that is fairly accurate. I don't think she means it she is in pain so much of the time she doesn't realise what she is saying (I am like that with a migraine) and she has never been on her own and finds security in having people around. Please don't think badly of her, I have let her do a lot of this, for an easier life or just in the moment. And she is highly vulnerable and anxious, the timer worried her. And obviously I love her, she has been a good mum to me. am typically quite a looky after person, so I guess this is a pattern. Also we do sometimes have a difficult time. Politically very different, am no angel.
Oh dear.
I hope no one minds and I know it is the internet so there are no rules but do you mind if we don't talk about this aspect of my life for a bit? I need some headspace.Nevertheless she persisted.1 -
Take what you need Buffy, it’s a lot to process.

It’s up to you what you talk about, just remember that we are all in your corner. Btw, you are not like that with a migraine. If you were you’d just go to bed when you need to.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Absolutely up to you what is discussed on your own diary Buffy! And I didn't mean to imply that either of you consciously create this situation - when you're in it day by day, you are too busy to see all the "things" building up.

Thank you everyone, as ever this place keeps me going in so many ways.
I overslept today due to taking two co-codamol, had quite a motivational cab driver, decent day at work, a bit stressful but ok, the best thing ever is that I have PETROL. Am so grateful to my friend who got me it. I was pretty much in hysterics after coming back from 3 petrol stations last night!
Tonight I went to Sainsburys and bought nice easy cook food, made lunch for tomorrow and Friday. And will be able to get in to work early tomorrow and eat breakfast. I love my car and really felt vulnerable without it. Awful to be so reliant but getting to work has cost me around 80 quid.
Seeing the finance guy in half term.
Got some work done. Doing work tonight after my jobsThings are better.
Nevertheless she persisted.3 -
£80 for taxis 😳😳😳 We noticed that the petrol stations near us are back to normal- it certainly varies from area to area. Well done that friend who found petrol for you 👏👏January spends - £587.581
