One thing tho it made me think about being in debt. Cos it was a bit of a worry if I was going to have to leave.

    Lots to think about AGAIN

It does make you think. I have been the same since finding out about the restructure at work.

I owe 6660 now. I have 13,000 in savings plus 7000 I borrowed for the car(so 20000 but not really) . I have over paid a bit but not as much as I would like.

Loan was originally 8000. A thousand pound went on rabbit insurance and Christmas cc bill. Cannot have that happen again.

I think if I stop all savings apart from the ISA and the money for Christmas I could maybe pay off more of the loan. Maybe 500 a month (turns out I save 836 a month in various pots!!  - of course some is for vets or birthdays so doesn't all stay) I could make a general savings pot and pay 100 pounds a month... (so 200 to ISA and 100 to general savings(with 1000 in there already) to cover vets, birthdays, car?) and make overpayments to the loan.

I am going to go look at my bank...

It's difficult to balance savings and debt paying. I am trying to get the balance and haven't quite found it yet.
It depends on what your goals are now? Do you have an idea? Is it travel or owing property...that will make a difference to what you decide to do.
