It would be worth a chat with the DR, get some blood tests done to check your iron and thyroid and also maybe have a read up about perimenopause and the symptoms of that. My symptoms start around 38/39 but I didn't realise, just felt constantly tired, utterly exhausted, no motivation, the headaches and then into anxiety and palpitations. Now I'm 48 and the hot flushes have been here for the past 18 months, slowly getting worse but I've found a herbal cocktail that seems to work for me as I'm loath to try HRT. i now only get one flush every few days rather than one every 10 minutes (day and night). I do feel better now than I have in years. You have to take care of you because no one else will.
As for your Mum if she's suffering again can she have more treatment? Is this something different? Get on the the Dr for her and get some help....you both deserve it. And if the Dr signs you off for a bit, is it the worst thing in the world to take time to make yourself healthy? I wish you'd put as much care into yourself as you do your animals (consider yourself told!)

I am sure the instructions on the co2 monitor are to place it about a metre away from any gas boiler/heater. So make sure it is. No reason to avoid HRT unless you have something which makes it contra indicated. I was on it for over 25 yrs & the worst thing I ever did was come off it.

And tell your doctor about unchecked gas appliances. The standard blood tests (including the usual O2 sats measurements) don't pick up high CO2.

I genuinely think it is because for me it is because the house is so hot (23 degrees) Poor Mum is always cold.
I have had a rotten day feeling rotten. Mainly period related I think but also the absolute exhaustion of not enough sleep this week and I wonder if I have some kind of illness, dizzy spells at work plus the headaches and tiredness. Really hard to know what is going on to be honest. Is it just post covid stuff? mum is having an awful time too, her hands look terrible and she is very tired. I suggested we both go to the doctors. I don't actually want to go as am afraid they will sign me off. But maybe I should.
Didn't even come close to making a roast, had beans and poached egg on toast. done 1995 steps all day. At this point I am not going to work tomorrow. Bummer as it means missing my second job too.

So tired again. Mum isn't well. Been a very difficult evening.
Work is horrendous. It has become a place of competition and nit picking people are so unhappy.
Half term is coming. I just need to hang on.
