I think it won't matter if MPs rattle cages after the consultation ends, and we must keep up this campaign into September and beyond. We want MPs to ask the MHCLG what has gone wrong, why the horrific U turn and sanctioning £200 demands when MPs called for £120 debt demands to end? It makes no sense and breaches all sorts of consumer protections.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

FYI I've had a reply from my MP who has asked their PPS to get in touch for more details after which they'll write to the Secretary of State about this. At least that sounds positive.Jenni x6

Done the main consultation.
The way I see it is that there should not be much of a pipeline of claims left after the Single Tier Appeal Stage if they are cancelling PCN's upon production of a permit, a disabled badge, mitigating circumstances, etc.
I really hope that the Single Tier Appeal's service is truly independent and out of the hands of the current incumbents.
I don't think that debt collection should start until after a court judgment. Most people then would either pay up or start a payment plan.

So, for my MP, my letter will be a beg borrow and steal from the above, especially Jenni
This will be interesting as my MP is Theresa May and will include a timely reminder about CCJ's ?
Let you guys know what Theresa replies with4 -
I've followed up with my MP/PPS to remind them that the consultation closes in 3 weeks so we should aim to shake the tree at MHCLG before that.Jenni x4
