    Where is the car park?

Sometimes the demarcation between two car parks is not clear. I have seen this in their car parks.

The contravention suggests that it is a pay car park where anyone can park.

If you decode to do a late appeal, it goes to VCS. I'm sure they will reject it, but you will be able to show a judge you were reasonable and tried to resolve the issue without need of involving the courts.

In that should i mention im willing to pay the initial lowest amount of £50 or......?
As I said earlier , that won't wash , that was a time critical charge , a discount offer which expired months ago

The daily tariff on the signs and PCN was £100 , so there is zero chance of any discount being agreed

    Gym address is
Liverpool Innovation Park, Edge Ln, Fairfield, Liverpool L7 9NJ. Shares parking with NHS service, as well as The Range.

Have written to my MP, am awaiting a response.
Have also written to the other retailer that is part of the "retail park"

not sure what the best approach is now

The Landowner contract could also be an issue so we need to see the signage.

I am assuming that it is the car park to the left of the gym. There does not seem to be much signage on entry. The VCS signage says permits yet your contravention says that you did not pay and display. This information is from Sept 2020.

Yes thats right. The one on the left.
There was defintely no option to pay and display, eventhough that is what they said " Contravention: 101) PARKED WITHOUT PAYMENT OF THE PARKING TARIFF FOR THE VEHICLE REGISTRATION MARK OF THE VEHICLE ON SITE"

i am sure that that car park is for permit holders only. Is this a mistake on their behalf?

As you enter from digital way there is no sign which says that it is a pay and display car park. The sign relates to permits. Is that the way you entered?

This company has been particularly sloppy with their paperwork recently.

On the image above where were you actually parked because it all looks like permit holders?

Yes that's correct. That was the way entered by the driver.

Unfortunately the entrance on the opposite side (Milton road) was the one that needed to be used for "the range" and the gym and costa

But yes, it is definitely not a pay and display car park, not sure why thats the contravention sent by them though.

    Thanks

Clearly you have a defence. And it’s not just about the false added costs.

Read the NEWBIES thread 2nd post about pre-action stage and how to win by defending the later court claim.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, so based off that advice, am i right in thinking that i ignore any debt collection letters, and wait for a letter before claims?

    Thanks a lot
