I would recommend soaking in boiling water and using washing up liquid to clean off, or use nail varnish remover.

If the label is very sticky in the first place, fill the jar with boiling water and use the heat to peel off the label. This seems to take the worst sort of glue off with the label - although you can scald yourself quite easily!“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Yep, any solvent will do the trick.
Acetone is a very good one to use, but obviously, it is a not so nice chemical. It depends if you are after really quick and filled with chemicals or not so quick and natural

Hi Rupa,
I soak jars in hot soapy water for about an hour and the labels usually come off very easily leaving virtually no residue. If you do get a stubborn one then a little spray of wd40 usually does the trick.
There's an older thread with lots more ideas so I'll merge your thread with it to keep all the suggestions together.
