WD40 works for me, yes seriously before you laugh
I'm not laughing. It is liquid magic.
It is the "stuff of choice" for removing self-adhesive advertising decals from competition cars at the end of each season, without damaging the paintwork.
And, of course, useful for a million and one other things around the house, garden and garage. The best price I've found recently is £1.09 for 250 ml at ASDA.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
I use a Brillo pad - cut in half of coarse, never use a whole one!Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......

Lighter fluid is brilliant. I used to use it to remove sticky labels from videos when I worked in a video shop many, many years ago.
But you might want to rinse the residue off afterwards, just to be on the safe side.

Eucalyptus oil removes sticky on anything too.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

I used some washing powder on a stuborn sticker on the sole of my new shoe.

For glass I just scrub with a metal scouring pad in hot water. For less robust surfaces I've had success with dry cleaning fluid -think it's called Beau Caire.0

I use surgical spirit (from the chemists) - great for cleaning keyboards etc as well.0

Virtually any spirit will take the sticky bits off ,don't waste gin though:rotfl:0
