offer received 3 hours after application! We are in Scotland so home report already done by seller. I also have a default which is due to come off in September.Mind you that’s the only thing that moved fast! Completion is taking for everBut like I said that was the fast part, we were due to complete on Friday 11 weeks after offer was accepted but new information came alight the previous owner who is now passed away never discharged her mortgage when the final payment was paid and now it’s showing a standard security against the house. We are now awaiting to see if the executors and their solicitor can get this removed.Nightmare as we have been waiting a full year for this house to go through confirmation etc
( probate)
so just more waiting now
Our Mortgage Advisor has messaged me saying the valuation is due to be assessed to offer by tomorrow.
My stomach is is knots
Good Luck !First Time Buyer

UPDATE...
We received our mortgage offer today.
Good luck everyone2 -
Congratulations on the offer!
We went through a broker (FTB), applied for the mortgage last Tuesday afternoon, valuation Wednesday and we got our offer Thursday! So just short of 48 hours after we applied.
We’re actually buying the house we currently rent so not sure how long it will take from here?0 -
Thank you, and congratulations to you too 😊...that was very quick. Dont think I've stressed about anything as much haha.Curlygurly said:Congratulations on the offer!

That should make it easier shouldn't it. We have an appointment at the solicitors next week so that should be the last step with the searches1 -

Following this. Our application went in on Saturday.
We have a unusual employment set up so therefore expecting it to take a while. However I just feel sick to my stomach waiting and it's been like 1 working day haha.
Did any of you have employment reference checks done ? . If ours does need this wondering if it causing delays xx0 -
Hi!Does anyone have a link to the Halifax mortgage application tracker please? Our MA has said that he doesn’t think there is, but I’ve seen a few of you mention it so thought I’d ask!
Our application has just been submitted so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a quick response 🤞🏻0 -
I'm an FTB and going directly through Halifax. This is the tracker I got yesterday by email https://mortgages.halifax.co.uk/cp - you'll need a "mortgage roll no" provided in the same email to login.CCrowthwr93 said:Hi!Does anyone have a link to the Halifax mortgage application tracker please? Our MA has said that he doesn’t think there is, but I’ve seen a few of you mention it so thought I’d ask!
