Hi,
I was hoping if people could share their halifax mortgage application with me.
My MA said the system had accepted my application and it went to the underwriters.
A few days later we had a valuation booked in. This happened 16th July.
The MA said they don't usually send out a valuator if they wasn't going to accept the application because it would have been a waste of time.
I was hoping I would have had some news by now as the MA said a couple of days.
Has anyone had similar?
Thabk you in advance

We recently applied with Halifax. Timeline went:
15/06 full application in
23/06 property valuation
08/07 mortgage offer issued
I guess it depends on your case though

This makes me feel a little bit better.
I had my valuation on 19 July but still haven’t received my formal offer. I’ve read a few things about Halifax being very quick and often offering within 48 hours, so I’ve started to get paranoid! Fingers crossed we hear soon

Update....
So I have today received a letter about the valuation saying they value it at the offer we have put in.
FTB so not sure for definite but I would imagine that if he's valued it and the amount we have put in, that's a good thing?
So stressful this process
Wish is just had a tick box ☑ or no0 -
Hello Natalie Owen;
I am in a similar boat with you. Did you get your mortgage through a broker?
I went directly. I have the "Halifax Mortgage Tracker". What stage are you in there?
I had a full credit (hard check), on the Friday (paid extra for a Home Buyers Survey) booked for the following Wednesday and received a mortgage offer on the same day.
Let me know if you need any further help/queries.First Time Buyer

I'm going direct and constantly refreshing the mortgage tracker.. even though I know I'll get an email if anything changes!
I'm not clear on whether I've had a hard credit check and if that's whats holding things up? How did you know you'd had a hard check done FirstTimePlx?
I had my income verified on 09/07. I had my homebuyers survey done on 19/07 and the tracker updated the same day to say they valued the property at my offer price but the 'Mortgage offer' is yet to get the green tick ... think I might just have to be patient

We are going through a MA but he is on holiday this week (typical haha)
They have done a hard check and a soft check when we put the application in on the 1st July.
The valuation was booked for 16th July and then had the letter today.
I'm hoping because its valued at the offer price we put in it should be okay.
Thank you for your help0 -
