Valli.. hugs for DD. At least she has somewhere safe to come home to.. this is how I managed not to murder DS1 the last 2 years.. He came round for a shower!!Fay.. hugs... that sounds like a hard email.. maybe skim over the majority and give vague info.. if you've had no contact in several months it doesn't sounds like she is there for you.So.. we go on holiday a week tomorrow. OH is 'isolating' at the park with the girls.. work told him he has to SI for 10 days so he is being paid to spend time with the children.. fine by me!! So I made a start nt he packing.. start at the youngest, she has most clothes lol..So her shorts etc are too small so I dragged out a box of the 5-6/6-7 stuff and stuffled her wardrobe a bit.. it needs doing properly but I need more room.
At the bottom of the box was a pile of stuff which will fit Squeak.. that was fortunate because she has almost nothing which fits.. found her some pj's too which are much needed. so the summer stuff from her drawers has been shoved in dot/pixie drawers (they are the same size)
I found millions of pj's in the second box and some more bits for Squeak..
I now have a binbag of ebeasty stuff I can not list for another 2 weeks..
On the plus side my lateral flow said I ain't got the plague.. I know I am getting this, my immune system is shot I get everything.
2 chickens in the oven.. a mountain of potatoes peeled and a bucket of veg in pans.. DD2 loves mash.. so mash she shall have..
2 loads of washing outOH loaded the DW earlier.

Just to clarify - DD is coming home to live while she does a Masters course in Steel City. She initially said she would use 'her' bedroom, which is the little (single) one. However, when DS moved out you may recall I 'bottomed' his room and decorated it...I did offer for her to use it (when she visits); she initially declined, but has now said she will. I think this is a good move. There's no desk in there and she would be better off not studying in her bedroom anyway. She actually starts in January but I could use the room properly set up as a study now so she's in for a shock next time she visits.
So
I have moved the little old wardrobe back into my room and emptied one of the back bedroom wardrobes into it (my shoes and bag wardrobe). So one of the two wardrobes in the back room is ready for her to use. I have shoved my filing cabinet upstairs into the front bedroom (AKA study) - and it was a ton weight - it was shoved up one stair at a time and it is a filing drawer plus a top drawer only - got it from round the back of the council offices when they were having a clearout - it's a good one, modern, and I bought a new key for the top drawer. Once I got it upstairs I rolled it into the back bedroom for it is on wheels.
I have cleared the drawers in the middle unit (two wardrobes, each with top cupboard, flank a mirrored dressing table unit with drawers and a top cupboard). There's also a 5 drawer chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet. Bedside cabinet emptied ages ago; I have made a start on the 5 drawers - mainly gift bags. It's probably time for another cull. Some stuff has been binned - old toys of DS's that are not in good enough condition to be donated, and I have a heap of stuff to donate, too. I shall still keep the wicker baskets/hampers on top of the wardrobes which have various bits in them in there.
A priority now is to move the bookcase in the DR and clean behind it and put my radio on top of it. But a DR spring clean is on the cards (well my summer list) anyway.
