School have changed Dots class for September!!! I just cried with relief.. the teacher she was supposed to have is more old school and would try to bend Dot to obey and that is not how it works.. The teach she is having now has been Squeaks teacher for 2 years and she looks for their strengths and works from there.. Squeak has blossomed with her so hopefully Dot will shine too.

Going to be a slow day here too due to the heat, it was 33°C before midday!  DD1 and I have both been to the hairdressers and are looking lovely.  Friend coming for coffee and chat after lunch so need to get the sunshade up.

DS eating lunch, I am melting in the heat and not much else achieved! Oh, I did use antibacterial spray on the bannister, better than nowt!

I have cleaned the bathroom and ensuite and sorted some of the necessary admin.  Next job is to finish the Gift Aid claim before the sun comes onto the back of the house and the study gets too hot to work in.  This afternoon I shall move to the shady front and bake cakes to take to DS2 tomorrow

Trying not to dehydrate in this heat. Have had my visor delivered so that I don't struggle in group tonight. I have trouble breathing, and the hot flushes don't help either.

Dave has put the new shower mixer tap on the bath so I can have a shower now, after I managed to break the last one on Sunday...lol It's not the same washing in the sink..lol

The dog is trying so hard to keep cool under one of the several air con units/fans around the house. The cats are flopped all over the house..bless them.

Hoping it thunders as I desperately want it to cool down.

Housework is going to wait till next week..too hot to do it this week. It isn't going anywhere...lol

Great news Pigpen, so pleased for Dot.

Ha Fayolle I am not sure I have ever pulled it off either but if in my head I look like a serious tough manager then I feel more like one, even if I am quaking in my shoes!!

Paid stuff done, hairdresser visited, chicken casserole made and eaten with veg from the garden.  2 loads of washing done, including our sheets.

Tired now, I know we shouldnt complain but I am slightly fed up with this heat!

and I'm now working in the dark - light has gone off ans I CBA to switch it back on
Next hospital tests booked = colostomy? camera down and camera up - ostomy (forgot) booked
I have to go to the hospital pharmacy for pre-meds & instructions.

Morning All,

Another one struggling with the heat. I thought today would be cooler - alas no. Is it just me or is everything quite whiffy when it's warm as well? So far this morning I have set the DW going (it wasn't full, but it was smelly!), and the WM is doing it's thing. A friend is coming to mow the grass for me today which is really helpful.

I also need to deliver some eggs and supervise DS online learning. Oh, and visit the PO. And buy fruit. 

Call with work was okay. I am waiting for a telephone consultation with the doctor, will see what he suggests. As it stands at the moment no way can I return as I am. Sigh. 

Piggers - I am thrilled for you, you deserve some good fortune xx

Why is the cat lying in the only chink of sun light / heat coming through the curtains as they are not quite closed.

Kitchen is done
Oven door done

Agree bin / dw all whiffy, I don't think the left over cat food in the bin has helped, so he is on dry food during the day for now.
