More washing done, and ironing. Everything clean so I should be able to pack tomorrow. Quite a challenge for 4 weeks when we don't yet know if we're sailing or at the other house.
OH was a star at lunchtime. I noticed one of the loos was backed up, then checked on our dirty water pump and it had been turned off when the roofers were working and not put back on. Luckily not used that often but when I turned it on it made funny noises and if blocked or struggling. So OH had to hack garden back to access it and then we checked it out and added abundent water and food colorouring down the loo to test it all and all is fine, but not a pleasant job when temperature is over 30°C. But glad it's done before we go away.
Cuppa time here.9 -
Hi all
Tired tonight. Staff review done, went better than I expected. Went to Li@l but a lot of the shelves were empty, signs up saying that due to unforseen circumstances they are low on stock. Luckily I didnt need much.
Spent 2.5 hours putting shopping away, sorting washing, making tea, loading DW then washing up all the bits and pieces that wouldnt fit in. DH has not done a thing except go to work. Annoyed? Me? Of course not.8 -
Valli (not medical advice) when you take the bowel prep for your colonoscopy, stay in the lavatory as it is powerful stuff and doesn’t usually allow for trips between rooms. Good luck x
I have found another job to apply for. I need to get faster at them.Ground floor vacuumed
under sink cupboard emptied and wiped. A damp patch has appeared on and off recently on the outside wall above the drain grate. I can’t see any leaks in the cupboard. Will have to take the kick board off at the weekend to see if I can spy anything else ( it could be going down the back of the sink when someone washes up!
base unit cupboard doors cleaned
Mr M’s visited for banana boxes. I realised when I got back to my car that they have given me the lids which have large holes in.
The dancemobile went to be serviced today and has has to stay in. I have told them to do all the red work then we will think about the amber stuff when we do the mot next month. 💷8 -
I fear my drain issue from last year may have reared it’s ugly head again - sigh.
YL - never mind annoyed, I would be raging.
All jobs done on my list today and new list typed up on phone for tomorrow. X10 -
Dancemum - thanks...
I'll be glad when it's over with but I chatted to a colleague at lunchtime which put my mind at ease a bit re the endoscopy.
I'll just have to wear my big girl pants lol
AND SCHOOL'S OUT
DD said she was coming today - cue MUCH straightening/homing. She *may* be coming back to live here while she does her masters and has now said she WILL use the guest room (newly painted if you recall) and there's me stashing stuff in the wardrobes and drawers in there. *sigh*
Afternoon tea (60th birthday gift I've had to wait for) tomorrow here - it'll be a frock job!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Crawling in late, can't stand the heat either.
Keeping up the running has been impossible in this weather (to my mind) so I've been swimming twice and have included 'running' in the pool. Went to Body Pump this morning and nearly melted despite aircon, so wimped out of Body Balance.
Up to date with washing, shopping and washing up but not much else in the way of flying other than noticing what an impressive array of cobwebs we have.
Mr N has spent a couple of days making a hedgehog feeding 'house' as we've had 2 sightings recently, different ones. Must say it is a work of art; some leftover decking, proper felted roof and a 'maze' inside to deter cats.
Cake made yesterday to take to church group's outdoor meeting, flower arrangement done for hostess. More flowers and foliage sitting in buckets to do for drum tutor as end of term present tomorrow, just in case I don't see him at the real last meet in August.
Gas/electricity meters read and submitted.
Other than that it has been gardening, watering plants, harvesting various things and skulking in the shade.
Sticks, spoons etc to all.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
