Morning all
Blissfully cooler today thankfully. DD at school, DS having his end of term party online, fringe trimmed, present deposited at friend's house.
x1 WM on the line. House still smells....sigh.
Long list written, starting with signing kids up for some of the free summer camps in our village. Have fab Fridays all xx9 -
Hope the tech gets sorted kaz
We have a couple of friends round for a takeaway this evening so I have tidied, cleaned, polished and vacuumed the lounge/diner - although we are hoping to eat outside. Slightly miffed as I would marginally prefer an evening watching the Olympic opening followed by Baltic murders.......plus we had a Mr T takeaway already this week. However it will be nice to see friends.........
Vacuumed hall.
Watered greenhouse.
Checked lesson plan for this afternoon's session.
Checked and signed 50-page uni contract (yawn) and 16-page data sharing agreement (another yawn).
Picked a bit more foliage to go with the leftover flowers. Had a lovely WhatsApp message from drum tutor who had displayed the arrangement I made him in his lounge (well at least for the photo!).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Cleaned the house through, did wm x 10, HHI x 3. And yes, I am lying through my back teeth so that I can post to say that I have:
been to work. Full on, but it is harvest and I work in agriculture, so to be expected;
cooked dinner, WULTD, and swept the kitchen floor. That would appear to be actual flying, so maybe lying was unnecessary after all.Cooler here, not much, but hopefully enough to be able to sleep.9 -
Evening all xx
The first time this week that I've arrived home feeling vaguely human. So I called at the Post Office to pay my rent and picked up birthday cards for my DSil, niece and great-niece - ready for Nov/Dec. Now that's pre-planning 😉
Fell into the chippy next door and bought my tea - so glad I did as it's the lovely owners' last week after 33 years! They've sold the chip shop!!! More incomers. Not that this is duelling banjo country or anything 🤠
Hoping to get a better night's sleep 💤 and be fit for flying tomorrow.
Sweet dreams

Evening all xI lost yesterday afternoon to visual disturbance and a migraine. I have managed to send another application form off. I’m getting quicker even if every one is different.
I have updated my grocery order and have realised it is my last one so I need to see if I can book a few slots.DH brought the green wheelie bin back around on his way home.

Evening all.
I did various errands this morning:
- paid in the church money at the bank
- called at a shop we've used before to enquire about putting up blinds in 3 more rooms to try to keep them cooler
- set up the trail posters in the churchyard
- picked up my meds from the pharmacy.
This afternoon I
- did WMx2, which is still blowing on the line (but I must bring it in before I go to bed as rain is expected overnight)
- took Rosie for a proper walk for the first time this week
- changed the battery in my bedroom clock
- cooked tea early so that DH could go off to war games in good time
- caught up with emails, FB and videos.
Tomorrow someone is coming from the blinds shop to measure up and give me a proper quote, so I need to get the place tidy and hoovered by 11.00. Other than that and Rosie's walk, I don't want to do much that requires a lot of physical effort as my back is still complaining, but I have enough emails to send, cards to write and phonecalls to make to last the whole weekend. And at some point I will need to do 5 minutes' ironing: my one cotton skirt!
Hope everyone has a good weekend xx8 -
I have ironed everything and put the duvet cover back on the duvet and the duvet on the bed.
called endoscopy booking and endoscopy pre-assessment repeatedly today as I have voice mails from both. Got through to pre-aapssmt who kept saying booking were trying to get me but appeared to have the wrong mobile number. I informed them they must have had the correct one at some point given they had left a message...anyway no staff, procedure deferred.

Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Have a good morning anyone doing the first post-Covid ParkRun. Having worried all week it would be too hot, it's now raining..and thundering...at least I have a clean house to come back to.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7

Morning all xx
Not sure why, but I've woken up feeling tireder than when I went to bed. So it will be a flutter rather than a full blown flight today.
I've made my bed, watered my hanging basket, supped two brews and eaten a slice of toast.
Shower and get dressed next methinks.
Hugs to all.
