Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend. Take care (((hugs)))xxI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

Chrystal - thank you I have been resting my back as much as I can, so it's been quiet. I love your signature.
Dd came with her family and took their pup for a long walk and quality time was spent with him.
I haven't been out so no money has been spent and my meals have been simple but nourishing, good peasant food, soup and casseroles and hm bread
That's about it really, tomorrow is a new week and I hope I feel more like doing things like housework as it really needs doing!!

Don’t stress the housework, it will always be there.

WinterWarrior - I haven't been doing much at all today, I've lost my mojo to actually do anything at present, not sure why.
So I'm going off the boards for the rest of the week unless it comes back (mojo) before then, I still feel wretched with my back, so will just be resting up as best I can. I feel quite guilty as one of my neighbours is really poorly and in and out of hospital and all I've got is backache and lethargy!

Hi NannyG,
I just wanted to say firstly I do enjoy your diary which I find very helpful and relatable. I also struggle on a very small income while I try to keep on supporting my children and grandchild whenever they need me.
I'm very sorry to hear you're suffering with your back pain. It is no minor issue. I have found that nothing saps my energy and my mood more than chronic back pain. It might be worth a consult with your GP (even over the phone?) as I found when I eventually did, after suffering for weeks with little improvement and lots of relapses, that I she was a great help.
Hope you feel better soon.

WinterWarrior, Madusa and Four_Seasons - thank you for your kind thoughts, I have been resting up to help my back but it's still isn't right, but it's much, much better.
So hello everyone,
I'm feeling much more positive and really pleased that my budgets are still in tact. On the whole I have bought minimal food etc and been feeding myself from stores. Dds have been helping out with shopping etc so all's well. I still have my puppy visitor and he has calmed down a lot and eldest dgd has been helping out with him, it shouldn't be for too much longer and I will really miss his little black furry face trying to get as close as possible to me when he goes home. His mum and dad come and walk him as much as they can.
I've managed to put away all the money needed for Christmas and after looking for wrapping paper I realise I have enough for the next couple of years! The same with Christmas cards, I must have been on a spending spree a few years ago (thank goodness).I still have two birthdays to accommodate before Xmas but as they are both abroad money will be put into bank accounts and their cards have already been posted, so no worries there.
I've got over all the worry about price rises I was having and will deal with them as they come along, I can't change anything so I'll 'suck' them up somehow. I will get the bus more often - free pass, grow even more on the lottie and just cut back even more on other things!! I haven't been to the lottie since my back mishap, but dd1 and I are going tomorrow to get some cabbages, so I'll see what needs doing when I feel up to it. Dd has paid next year's rent on lottie, Xmas present which I'm very grateful for as its not cheap.
So you can see I'm feeling much better, so the diary will carry on for a bit longer.

Lovely to hear from you nannyg, pleased your feeling much better. some days it just feels totally overwhelming with the prices going up but as you say the best we can do is deal with them as and when they happen. Have a good week and stay safe x0
