WinterWarrior - thanks, I'm getting there, I feel so much better today, coughing well but that's nothing u.usual for me.
Anyway started that challenge and when I started I couldn't stop!!I feel as if I've done this week already, so I will group stuff together, so
Day 1: small bag of socks, 6 pairs full of holes!!!! Some have been mended already and some the holes are too large to mend.
Pasta bake and some biscuits made in readiness for tomorrow's visit by dgc to my house after I pick up eldest from school. Pup walked, I say walked but once over the fields it's him running all the way like a little loon!
Nothing spent and I get paid this week, so tomorrow I will be doing my budgets and paying bills.
Have washing to put away, the excitement never ends!!

Day 2 - 2 bras! One is being donated, never worn but the other is going to be recycled as its past it! Unfortunately I will have to buy one to replace as I only 3 wearable ones!
I went to do my baby minding with dgs and after going an extra long pup walk with dgs in pushchair, I couldn't face going into their town to the post my letters, so no money spent today, and as I get paid tomorrow it'll now come from that and anything left in my accounts will be transferred to the EF, and anything left in my purse will be put in the house fund.
LO pasta bake tonight and as I managed to forget to take my lunch with me, I had a sandwich there and the one I prepared for today will be eaten for lunch tomorrow!!!
The fuel in my car has lasted well this pay period, as I have cut back on unnecessary trips so well pleased with that.I have to go up to the city this month some time so I will take the bus and use my bus pass.
Tomorrow will be a cleaning day, working out a meal plan and doing the books day, and I have enough pasta bake left for tea, so tomorrow's meals are all done.

Day 3: knickers!! No old past it ones in my draw now, no longer able to put a holey pair on anymore
Ok, just cleaning, pup walking and having a doze kind of day, so budgets etc not done yet but they will get done in the morning.
LO for lunch and tea and porridge for breakfast. Boring day really, so will go and hopefully do something more interesting tomorrow!

Day4: old birthday, mother day cards and Xmas cards gone!
Eldest dgd is staying tonight and we've managed to walk pup twice, been to the local town I haven't been to for ages that has more closed shops than open - so sad to see. The most exciting for me was a visit to a farm that sold milk in a vending machine, you could choose either plastic or glass bottles (I chose glass, they cost a little more but I'm helping the planet as the bottles are reused!) And then the milk is dispensed when you put your money in. You can buy hm butter, natural milkshakes and go and see the cows, which we did. It's natural milk and the money goes to the farmer and I was impressed and although I won't be able to use the farm every week I will certainly use it as much as I can, and its not very far away.
Pizza for tea that I had in already and mince pies for afters from tosco, very nice too.

What a fabulous farm! I don’t think there are any dairy farms up here…not that I know of anyway. I would have chosen glass too.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

WinterWarrior - my dd1 told me about the farm, she passes it on her way to work and has been using it for a while, the dgc prefer it supermarket and are drinking more!! Costing her a bomb I reckon but we do try to 'do' our bit
Today I have felt worn out, done all the usual stuff and dgd and I took the pup for quite a long walk after she'd finished her volunteering. So off to bed earlier than normal, I've even bought some 'dry'' cough mixture to see if that will help but I reckon a bar of choc would have helped as well but forgot to buy any - that is not like me at all.
All budgets done now and a meal plan for the next few days using up food from the fridge is on my whiteboard, I only do a few days at a time.
Anyway going upstairs as pup is asleep and I'm flagging.

Nothing useful to add, but I read this daily

capuchin - thanks for reading. I know I'm not particularly interesting as I have no debt, but I always think it's a bit like losing weight, it seems easier to lose the weight than maintain it! Talking from experience here.
Today has been quiet money wise but busy people wise.
Yesterday I bought a gf cake for dd3 whose partner is Coeliac from asda, it wasn't expensive and was very small but it was only for him, anyway they came down to mine today to visit me and take their pup a walk. When they got back in I supplied a hot drink and cake all round, only for dd to point out that the gf cake was out of date by three days when I bought it!!!! So she's emailing a picture of said cake and receipt to the company to complain and reimbursed me the money. It's a good job I keep all my receipts, so we will have to see if they respond to her, I will keep you updated!!
For the last few years before retirement I worked in one of the big four sm, not asda and if they are inspected by the food trading standards people (could be another govt office) and found with out of date food the store gets fined and its not a small amount of money either, so the shelf fillers were told to be very careful with dates.
Managed to get 2 loads of laundry dry outside, and had
Lunch - pitta bread pizza and salad
Tea - sausage, mash, carrots and cheesy leeks, which was very nice.
Off to bed, bit later tonight but sleeping much better as cough is at last leaving this house - yay
